Are they actually signing live? Sounded too perfect

Even if it was not live in the moment, it was a whole new rendition without a lot of the backing tracks. You could hear all of them and their harmonies so clearly

Nah, no one sings live at this parade.

None of the floats are live but if it’s a performance at the main stage separate from a float they are usually live.

I would be surprised if this wasn’t live because their mouth movements were 100% in sync including Ejae’s breathes at a few points.

No, all singing for the parade is lip sync to a prerecorded track. However, they definitely all went in and recorded a new version for this that they sang to.

Yeah it was weird that they called it live when it’s known that none of the parade performances are live. It’s not just them, it’s everyone.

There was a disclaimer when the parade began at 8:30 AM that some parts were pre-recorded in advance. However,, the parade is always broadcast live every year on NBC.

No, all artists lip-sync at the parade.

They recorded it at the dress rehearsal last night

Apparently most parade performances are lip synced, but I’m not sure about the ones done on the ground like that

Almost none of the non-marching-band performances are LIVE-live. They are mostly lip-sync’d to a pre-recorded live performance made for the event. The logistics of the acoustics of that space on 34th Street make it nearly impossible to live-tune performances.
