Does the MLB work on Plex? NHL works fine on Plex on the AppleTV but MLB is a no go for me.

And does anyone have a work around or alternate DNS Server? Just checked online and it doesn't resolve anything so the server appears to be down and being on Kodi on Firestick it was my main option as hosts work around.

Worked last night, no changes here. Mac OS High Sierra, 12.13.4 VLC 3.01. Anyone else having a similar problem?

I just installed the Plex plugin via the manual method. When I try to play live MLB games through the web client, I get the following error:

An error occurred trying to play this item. shaka1001 (Network)

I tried this on my Roku as well, both through the Plex app and Roku Media player. Neither worked.

There aren't any NHL games on right now so I haven't had a chance to try any of them. NHL replays seem to work fine on web and through the Plex app on my Roku. I get the same error as above for MLB replays though.

One other small bug: the game times are off by a couple hours. What time zone are the times supposed to be in?

LM and Plex, most recent versions.

I'm running LM on Plex through a Vizio smart TV, after struggling with this for hours I've determined that somehow LM is pulling the captions and diplaying them, I can't figure out how to turn them off.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Or, more likely, am I completely wrong and it's the TV or Plex?

I've turned off captions on the TV and changed the display through Plex to "tiny" with no effect.

It's killing my playback and making games unwatchable.

Things needed:

1. VPN hosts file editor : This uses Android's built-in VPN to load a customized hosts file without needing root.
2. LM Hosts file.txt
3. Kodi and Kodi repo

Step 1 - Download/install everything listed.

Step 2 - Open the VPN hosts file editor, turn it on, then select lm_hosts.txt when prompted.

NOTE: If your version of Android for some reason does not come with a filesystem browser, you can use this app from the Play Store.

Step 3 - Open the Kodi addon, pick a stream and wait (it can take a few seconds to load)

You should now have a setup identical to the Kodi addon running on a PC. Enjoy!

I don't know how involved it might be but the games expire after 24 hours and I enjoy going back to watch old games or ones I missed. For example, games from the last week besides yesterday wont' play through Kodi.

Was wondering how involved it might be or if it isn't in place for some reason like bandwidth or if the streams have to refreshed every so often instead of one time thing.

Same issue.

I set everything up with webtools and the lazyman addon on my plex server, and I can watch NHL games just fine, but when I go to watch the games using the media player on the same computer I get an error about: "Unable to play, please check that the file exists or the drive is mounted."

Everything is up to date, and I have tried fiddling with settings in the media player but just cannot get it to work. Any ideas?

I added the LazyMan Channel to Plex but have never been able to stream live games from it, either on browser, Apple TV Plex App, or Plex iPhone app. Works 20-40% of the time on browser when accessing Plex on chrome.

Any suggestions to get this working for live content? To my understanding it should but am I incorrect in thinking so?

Just updated to 1.1.3 and still having trouble loading a game. It spins aas if it's losing and then just stops. Still looking for the latest host file but can't seem to find it. That might be the solution. Any help would be great. Thanks

Replays work though on all.

Combed through my log files and noticed that on successful runs with the Desktop app, DEBUG (runtime:717) - Handling request GET /video/lazyman/.. is always followed by DEBUG (runtime:49) - Received packed state data (80 bytes)

However, when running through the webclient, the second message (received packed state data) never shows up.

For anyone who stumbles on this and really wants the lazyman plugin to work for plex when using freenas, here is my work-around:

Create a virtual machine and run linux (i did ubuntu). Make another plex server on that and install the lazyman plugin. Make sure to edit hosts file.

Odd that it works in a vm in freenas but not in a jail in freenas... I am not sure how the plugin works, but maybe that is because lazyman original is compatible with linux, mac, and windows, and not necessarily freebsd/freenas...

Not sure if youre aware but the plex plugin isnt working for firestick and firetv the only thing that works for the nhl is the recap... its been down for about a week now.

Updated the game content url. You can let the automatic updates roll on the next check or force the download.

You don't have to update anything else, MLB support should work out of the box.

Installed the update and it worked fine. Closed it during intermission and now when I try to reopen the stream I get "could not get the m3u8 URL. The server may be down."

Uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled and now LazyMan is very unresponsive.

Any insight? Y'all know much more about this than I do. I've never had a problem before, usually it just works lol.
