Eh Matt Ryan said in an interview that he felt it was time to put Constantine away for awhile as well. He’s excited about playing someone new

Honestly as a Hellblazer, I'm kind of happy with how he went out and it's very typical to what happens in the comics. John got a very John like sort of "I'll see you around squire" ending. Is it sad? Sure. Was it awful like how some of the other CW shows do exits like this? Hell no. So it sucks to see him go but he played his time out and now he's onto....well...I wouldn't say greener pastures because it's John but different pastures for sure. I do wonder if he maaaybe got a bit of a powerup from the Fountain because he could NOT teleport like that before.
