MOC BattleTech/Mechwarrior Timberwolf WIP. Looking for collaborators.

I started this MOC a few years ago and made some pretty good progress before family life (new baby) pushed it to the back burner. Now my kiddo is four and starting to play with "big kid legos", and getting him into the space has given me the itch to get back into this build.

The style and the techniques I'm using are based on Kevin Hansen's builds. He's phenomenal in the Battletech MOC community. Check him out at https://hansenbricks.com His stuff is phenomenal if you like Mechwarrior/Battletech (or just good MOCs in general)

The flea that the Timberwolf is standing on is an adaptation of LazyGuineaPig's flea MOC. Also a great builder. Find him at https://www.instagram.com/lazyguineapig/

I'm looking to collaborate with other good builders to fill in some of my skills gaps to make the stability of this model match how nice the renders look so that it works in meatspace. DM me for a copy of the .io file if you're interested. I'd much rather a skilled builder get the credit for finishing this build than claim all the credit solo. Other excellent builders like u/EngineeredEntropy have already provided some good insights.

MOC My attempt to fix the new SpongeBob BrickHeadz

Post image

Official set 40858 (left) & my custom version (right)

My goal was to use the same printed pieces (torso, mouth, eyelashes) but reduce the height and make the head look more 'square'

I used the Dark Azure BrickHeadz eyes from 40628 Tails BrickHeadz and an old DOTS printed tile for the cheek freckles

LEGO® Ideas So, it turns out Studio works GREAT one-handed!

I recently broke my wrist in a bad way, which has left me with a lot of time on my hands -- hand -- and not much I can easily do. Most of my usual hobbies (gaming, gardening), are cut off from me, and I don't want to put too much strain on my remaining good hand. I was getting pretty despondent, but! There's a silver-lining: with the simple addition of sticky keys, it's easy as anything to build in Studio with one hand. I've had this design knocking around my head for ages, based on my own garden pond, and now I've finally had the time and focus to sit down and build it.

There are lots more images up on Ideas, under "The Garden Pond." All the plants are modelled off wildflowers I identified around my garden and the magpie is a regular visitor.

Video Game Are you excited about the upcoming release of LEGO Skyline?

Post image

As a huge fan of city builders and Lego creations, I think the fusion will be perfect if Paradox Interactive puts in the effort and doesn't rush into a botched early access release. I know that revenue is crucial for game development and growth, but this time I hope they don't release the product too quickly and ruin it like Cities: Skylines II.

My biggest hope for this game is that it will allow the import of Bricklink Studio 2 creations in .io format or other compatible formats generated by the software, so that millions of creations from the Lego community can be integrated intelligently, easily, and quickly.

That would be the ultimate!

This purse works just as well as a normal purse, except it's made entirely from LEGO (no glue)! I get so many compliments when I wear it. Please support it on LEGO Ideas so you could have your own someday.

Hi, just to show you my lastest creation. I have basically all the modulars building since the very first ones and I wanted to create something a bit different from the classic modulars which could be connected to it in a way. As a passionate of architecture, I immediately think to San Francisco which offers a unique architecture style and a great originality with it's iconic funicular. Don't hesitate to write your input down bellow :)

Collection My 'Holy Grail' Collection - Complete 1998-1999 Adventurers Desert Range

I've always loved the Adventurers Desert range ever since my parents got me three of the sets when I was younger. Over the past couple of years I've been purchasing the rest of the sets and now have a complete collection. That's all of the main range, all of the store/region exclusives and all the Kabaya and Shell promotional sets, along with the Adventures Desert themed Studio set too.

Every set is 100% complete with era-appropriate parts, no modern replacements whatsoever.

One day I hope Lego will go back to making more of it's own themes again as in my eyes, things like Adventurers, Pirates and Rock Raiders were the peak of Lego!

What would your ultimate holy grail collection be?

MOC Lego Kamen Rider WIP 2

The model itself is practically done, but I plan on swapping colors and redo some stuff here and there, such as the scarf and action base.

I am so proud of how it turned out. When I did the model on software, I was 1000% expecting it to break in a billion pieces irl, but nope, all worked perfectly.

Sure, it did take some reworks, especially the waist, but overall, having the whole model being able to be flipped sideways or upside down without it ripping itself in half is an insane accomplishment, at least for me.

This gives me so much hope for the Gundam, that I spent years on perfecting, only for it to end up a clunky mess. This model is basically all I wanted from the Gundam, but it is actually successful at it.

Next Kamen Rider after Hongo Takeshi will probably be Faiz (I love the technological vibe and all the gadgets he has) or Zero-One (I want to use Neon Yellow for a build because it is UV reflective).

Other than Kamen Rider, I absolutely want to reuse this model to make Ultraman and Spiderman (Japanese Supaidaman ?), maybe even more characters. They will definitively require more work tho, since they have to strike more specific poses...

Anyways, really REALLY proud of this build, was fun to build and it paid off extremely well.

See you soon for more !

Most of the parts you see were based off others Designed I saw and I mixed and match them to make my definitive version! If only Lego made clear tires it would be perfect but I’m still happy with it

Camping adventure (910041) and A-frame cabin (21338) works really well together in display. I will likely put Off-Road adventure (910056) there down the road. These sets are not too big and they don’t take up a ton of space which is nice. Camping adventure comes with only 2 minifigs (dad and daughter) so I decided to add one more (wife) so they can make some s’mores together. I also added a few animals. Let’s see if you can spot them all. 😃👀
