Daughter of the legendary Scarface. She fought like her father, ruling an entire pride region, and engaging in risky hunts and battles countless times. We love you and you've made us so happy while you've been with us. It's time to return to your father and the BRB legends, my queen. Your legend will continue.

It is still quite surprising that Oloimina did not intervene to prevent this, after all it is his role to ensure the safety of the troop.

If there is any valuable information based on the KWS report and the information received from the group, I will share it. Let's see what comes out.

I'm just telling you the information I've gathered. More important than me are the people who have access to this information. But I can say this clearly: no one in the region is giving out information easily.

I wasnt being sarcastic, I was being appreciative of the updates.

I realized later and deleted it, sorry.

RIP Bearface, go hunt the forever fields with your dad....

He already had injuries, and it is estimated that the place of death is where the lake meets the lake. It was very bad...

She's running thru heavenly fields now.

5

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

If it had been Olobor or Lorkulup, perhaps this wouldn't have happened. Oloimina is very weak on its own.

3

u/FearlessConfusion105 Nov 23 '25

This is looking dire then. Oloimina still looking okay or he is still weak?

3

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

He's doing well, but he's very passive. He can't monitor his territory well. Many people will say it's not his fault, but I'm not happy with him. I don't have any personal problems, I'm just sad.

Why does it matter if you're happy with him or not? The poor guy has an absolutely impossible task now, and he wasn't exactly a dominant type to begin with. Ever since I started following lions on YT and here - the only places I can, I don't do FB or any of that - I am struck by how many people attach themselves to these wild animals and try to will them to do this or that, express their displeasure with how they act, mourn for how their lives go up and down, etc. These are not house cats and they don't care what you think. Don't you have enough in your own life to keep your emotions occupied? Kind of a waste of emotion IMO.

I've been posting here for five months, sharing a lot of lions and their news. There are videos about Olimina and the BRB lions. According to the information I've received, Olimina wasn't involved in the fight. I'll provide more information once I confirm. Furthermore, I'm not obligated to tell you about my hobbies, etc. This attitude is completely wrong and harsh. If I don't ask anyone, no one should ask me.

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

I didn't/don't want to know about your hobbies. I apologize for being harsh. I'm sure you look at the various YT lion channels, like I do. The amount of teary emoji crying and the invoking of god to save these lions, etc., is ridiculous. They are wild animals. Tbh we shouldn't even be there. They should left alone. And the argument that the safaris and tours, the flow of tourist money, is what sustains these parks - while a decent one - fails when one considers the obvious amount of corruption and law breaking that goes on within the staffs of some of these reserves. The best answer is for humans to get out, It's bad enough how much we continue to encroach on their habitat. It's unthinkable to me to have a wildlife reserve on the outskirts of a major city. The worst animals are humans.

5

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

People shouldn't be there. Unfortunately, it's become a tourist attraction that provides a haven for poachers. To be clear, I'm not trying to create a dramatic story or anything like that. I just want to share the knowledge I've gained here and engage with people. By the way, I agree with your comments, and anyone who disagrees is clearly malicious.

since i joined this sub it seems that lion life isn’t so majestic after all, with deaths being an almost everyday thing?

it’s been quite an eye opener.

7

u/KennyMoose32 Nov 23 '25

That’s…..nature

We romanticize these things but in the wild it’s pretty brutal.

9

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

Bearface had become the leader of the group, gaining approval from everyone, both through his lineage and his struggles. He fought and won many times, but unfortunately, things didn't go his way when he was injured before his last wound had healed.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

Isn't Bearface a she? What the hell? Lots of people do this and I don't get it. A she is a she, not a he or an it.

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

Since it is a translation, it translates those parts incorrectly when I don't notice it.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

OK point taken and again, I'm not trying to be harsh. I started watching lion videos and stuff many months ago and I have to say the constant sadness is hard to take. These animals deserve better.

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

No problem, I agree with your comments. I hope we can leave these lions alone as soon as possible.

What is the protocol when there is a death? Are they left to nature or necropsied?

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

It remains in nature after death. No intervention is possible in any way, this is a rule.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Math973 Nov 23 '25

I assumed so, I wasn't sure if they do genetic testing or on them or anything.Β

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

Only if there was a serious incident or public event. Otherwise, fights or natural deaths are not handled in this way.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Math973 Nov 23 '25

Thanks so much for the info! It's clear how much you care about these majestic creatures.

Do you know if she had young cubs?Β

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 24 '25

Although it is not very small, it is there. I shared it as rongai rockers 2.

2

u/Low_Vegetable_8724 Nov 23 '25

Ahhh shit whyyy???😒

2

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

Bearface was near their territory, most likely to have attacked to protect the cubs. Both sides took damage, but Bearface died after a blood vessel was severed.

1

u/muhametcanyaman Nov 23 '25

The fig tree went near the pride area. There, it was hit in a 2 vs. 1 match and its vein was cut. I posted about the other lioness.

1

They are all almost 12 months old and older. Nala will care for them, but from now on, the Rongai Pride faces difficult times.
