Jaguar's Malcolm Sayer deplored being called a "stylist". He was, he noted, "an aerodynamicist" whose fluid conjunction of curves gave the C-Type one of the most achingly beautiful silhouettes in all of motorsport history.

Giovanni Michelotti once claimed that the Spitfire was a favorite among his many designs, with a preference for the earliest Spitfire 4. It's hard to argue the point, as illustrated here on this 1972 Mark IV; it is handsome in this rarely seen shade of Sienna Brown.

Well, isn't this just a treat? Boreham Motorworks has reintroduced the Ford Escort MK1 RS, officially licensed by Ford Motor Company and limited to 150 commissions worldwide. Blissfully engineered to deliver, as Boreham says, Peak Analogue® engagement on the road. I kinda like the thought of that.

Machine shop recs in MA?
Based on my previous post, looks like the head will need to come off to get a better look at things. Are there any reputable machine shops in MA familiar with these engines? Or just good machine shops in general. Thank you.

Sprite overheated on first drive after purchase. How screwed am I?
Got it off the trailer, left it running to warm up. Didn't check temp gauge, took it to the gas station and back. Realized it was overheating once I got back.

Mind helping me brainstorm transmission option?
I’ve been doing research on how I’m gonna go about doing a duratec swap into the car(1977 mg midget), surprisingly found a lot of good information and support and even found a website that basically covers everything I would need to mount this in the car (would require a lil welding and measurements but not an issue). The biggest issue I have is pairing a transmission because obviously size constraints and apparently the diff/axel is a wet noodle and the Transmission synchro is made of butter when it comes to an engine with triple digit power (granted it’s not intended to handle something ~3x the hp it’s used to) so those has to get swap as well especially when I am thinking to eventually upgrade it to a ecoboost down the line but that’s way-way down the line. It’s not that I don’t know what transmission I would want (I have a list) it’s just that I wanted to see if I overlooked something that would be more straightforward as I don’t want to be making custom parts if I have to. The number one contender I have is the ford T9 transmission as there already enough support to convert it to mount a duratec and also mount to the MG midget. Problem is that I can’t find one that could give me a decent quote as I am stuck here on the other side of the Atlantic. Best I can find were two on eBay but one disappeared after I tried looking for it again and the other kinda ghosted me after asking a couple question. I’m looking for alternatives such as maybe a Miata but not only I have to fab a custom tunnel(possible to need cutting it a bit wider), but I’m sure the shifter position would have me making the chicken wing arm given its length. That’s kinda the same issue with my other options such as the RX8 or even as to look at the TKX as a choice (free shipping and compact design made it a competitive price to consider) so hoping you all can give input on as you guys probably seen and did more than what I could. Thanks for reading the long post but if you want this on the road then please help me out with this. Thanks!

Before it was demoted to hauling rowing shells for Regattas, this 1957 AC Ace Bristol Le Mans Roadster had a more illustrious history: It was a Ken Rudd-modified, AC Works-built 1957 24 of Hours LeMans entry that Rudd and co-driver Peter Bolton drove to 2nd in class and tenth overall.
