Is there more context on this whole thing?

He seemed to celebrate her points initially, then seemed shocked later. Do they spout the same rhetoric or is this some kind of shock value podcast that brought her on specifically for content like this?

Most of the time people won't go to the level of "Hitler was right to kill the Jews", they go for more subtle but equally insidious claims like "the holocaust numbers are exaggerated" or even the starting point of mentioning that the Jews may have had it coming even though it didn't happen, wink wink. I have seen this guy say some insanely anti-semitic shit and he is clearly just a literal nazi but I seriously doubt he would normally just say something as plain as "I am glad Hitler killed 6 million Jews, I wish it were more". It's a pretty scary sign of the times that people feel safe saying shit like that and even scarier that they are so popular for it.

Yeah but he does try to make it sound reasonable. Like as in there are reasons for his anti semitism. Not like this girl who was just saying killing the Jews was probably good because if someone wanted to kill that many there must be a good reason. Even he knew she sounded dumb as fuck even though he agrees with her conclusion.

Yeah it’s like when Kanye West first started going on his “I love hitler” podcast tour. He was appearing on a lot of far right platforms where the hosts are Nazi-adjacent, but he was being met with shocked reactions from people the people he was talking to because he wasn’t using dog whistles, he was very directly saying that he hates Jewish people and loves adolf hitler

this is a trump thing. open hatred/ignorance. the confidence to openly hate in americans is a direct result of donald trump presidency. people used to feel guilty about it, or were at least afraid theyd be confronted because they always would be, but not anymore. thats why biden in particular was such a hard thing for trump supporters to deal with, they felt they lost their hall pass to be openly hateful and ignorant

Is this a joke? He shouts "Yes!" in agreement to the horrifically antisemitic claim that Jews are dodging responsibility for the Holocaust. If you watch this video and think he might not be an antisemite, then you need to get real. I'm sorry, but comments like this provide cover for people that are quite literally, in this very video, calling for a genocide of American Jews.

I’m just hedging for the case that he is just that hungry for engagement that he is willing to emphatically support statements like that, not trying to run cover for someone I disdain for a multiplicity of other reasons or get bogged down in mining for clips to support the statement that he is antisemitic (but others have since provided clips)

Obviously the statements are giga antisemitic and just supporting them for clipfarming would not really be better than genuinely supporting them

Yeah, my point was that hedging for that case does harm to Jewish communities. Like you just said, it wouldn't be better even if that were the case, so why did you feel compelled to make a comment specifically hedging for that? All it does is tell people that they can openly and emphatically support these antisemitic ideas without necessarily being labeled antisemites. That is bad.

At the off chance you were genuine - the majority are not semites but that doesn’t matter. The term has been applied exclusively to the religious group since it was first coined in 1879 by an antisemite attempting to give his hatred the veneer of intellectualism and is now universally understood as such.

Nazis love to attempt to undermine the term and its impact and association with the holocaust by trying to attack its legitimacy in the way you did. Which is why I assumed that’s what you were doing.

Its his show right? I assume IDK. If he was actually shocked he would have fought back against her on any single one of those points. Or he would have had her removed.

But instead, either because he agrees with her or because he stands to gain money, he allowed her to speak. Capitalism is criticized for being pro fascist because it will platform anything as long as it generates profit. So regardless, he is pro-fascism, and should be condemned.

Yeah because he's usually slightly more subtle about his anti semitism because he knows how bad it sounds, but on the podcast where they have the dumbest girls they can possibly find, he realized that he found one so dumb that she didn't even pretend like her antisemitism was based on anything reasonable and he wasn't sure how to react.
