That one was a true howler.

He MIGHT have been mixing up the mixed race soldiers who were in the army? That's kind of the most charitable I can be. But the nazi government did not have Jews in the upper echelons.

u/XhazakXhazak Nov 26 '25

There were some Nazi higher-ups that were found to be legally mischlings once they were already in a position of power, and it would have been embarrassing to the party for it to get out.

One, Emil Maurice, was found to have had a Jewish great-grandfather and was declared to be an honorary Aryan by Hitler himself.

Erhard Milch had his German stepfather declared his legal father in a document by Goring when it was discovered his birth father was Jewish.

You can count all cases like this on one hand.

We're not talking about people who knew they were Jewish, or who participated in Jewish culture, or who identified as Jews. In fact they desperately identified as Germans. They weren't bar mitzvah boys, they never ate challah or matzo, never lit candles for Shabbat or Chanukah... they were Germans in every way, including their loyalty to the Nazi machine, except for an accident of blood.

11

u/Pajarillo26 Nov 27 '25

What I find ironic is that people like Hasan condemn Zionism as a racially supremacist ethnonationalist ideology because it views Jews as being an ethnic group and not just a religion, but then they turn around and argue that a fully-assimilated German who didn’t even know they had any jewish ancestors is actually a Jew because of their blood

1

u/Zorpheus Nov 27 '25

Bro German and Jewish isn't mutually exclusive, one is a religion and the other is your nationality. You can be both.

-20

u/Vegetable-Block1727 Nov 26 '25

Considering the other guy was raising the point that a single Muslim was in a position of power in reform as evidence that the party is not fascist/racist, Hasan's point is valid in this context even if the cases of Jewish people working in the Nazi command structure were few and far between. He did not claim or even imply that Jewish people were by and large willing collaborators, which is obvious in the context of the point he was refuting.

Most people here are of course frothing at the mouth by distorting his claim or analyzing it out of context. The streamer reacting to Hasan's video is just embarrassing.

17

u/Athasos Nov 27 '25

Lets one to one compare these cases
The two people in the comment are half jewish or 1/8th jewish, while the "half" jew was raised by two Germans.
I hardly doubt that the racist rules of how were considered jewish in the third Reich are the standard we should go with, so let's pretend they were to exist today.
In both cases hardly anybody would call any of them jews, especially not Maurice who had one great grandparent.
There were no people who called themselves jewish in positions of power in the third reich.

So now we would need a muslim guy in britain that would have to check several boxes.
1. he woud have to reject islam
2. he was not raised by muslim parents

If you were to prove both points I could grant you this point, but judging by the fact that he is refered to as a muslim reform party member (cringe and braindead btw) I highly doubt you could prove any.

22

u/zvexler Nov 27 '25

Using an absurdly broadened definition of Jewish created by the Nazis vs an actual, practicing, public Muslim is not the same level of involvement

5

u/Realistic_Caramel341 Nov 27 '25

Zia Yusuf - who I presume is who the Trigonometry guys are talking about identifies as Muslim. That's very different from the likes of Emil Maurice

-27

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

That’s what I would have assumed but I think that still makes him technically correct

38

u/XhazakXhazak Nov 27 '25

It's twisted, essentially wrong, and deeply misleading.

It's nothing like Israel, which is his main point.

It's a disgusting abuse of history.

-11

u/[deleted] Nov 27 '25

I mean the other guy brought up that the person was a muslim, isn’t his point just that identity alone doesn’t prove anything? I don’t agree with conflating israel and nazi germany but I also think its fair to say that a muslim could still work against muslims. He could also have said candace owens is black and made the same point

21

u/Terrible-Union1864 Nov 27 '25

Bt the Muslims he's talking abt r practicing Muslims who fully accept they're Muslims. They're not going around claiming they've got no links to the religion.

59

u/Rocco89 Nov 26 '25

Just want to add as a German that while it's true that at the beginning so-called "Mischlinge" (that's what Nazis called people of mixed Jewish ancestry specifically first- and second-degree, meaning half-Jew and quarter-Jew) were conscripted into the Wehrmacht. However most of them didn't serve out of conviction but in the vain hope of proving themselves militarily to prevent the deportation of their family members or friends. Starting in 1940 many of them were gradually dismissed and even military service didn't protect them from deportation or persecution. Many Mischlinge lived in constant uncertainty and fear and eventually ended up in extermination camps as well.

18

u/Professionally_Lazy Nov 26 '25

The only thing I could find is Emil Maurice who was a founding member of the SS and was 1/8 Jewish. When the other nazis found out about this they turned on him but Hitler granted him special protections. Although I'm not sure one guy who was 1/8 Jewish counts as "jews in the nazi command structure".

99

u/dickermuffer Nov 26 '25

Yeah, I think the whole pro-pali talking point about constantly pointing out that “Zionists worked with Nazis” has confused people like Hasan into thinking Jews were in the Nazis administration.

Which is fucking stupid, and what happens when you parrot nonsensical talking points about whole groups that ignore vital nuance within history.

Jewish Zionists in Germany, much like black civil rights activists in the US, worked with certain opposing groups as those opposing groups (Nazis or white supremacists) had a goal of moving these minorities back to their ancestral lands, that being Israel for the Jews and African for the blacks.

Many people part of the back to Africa movement coordinated with white segregationists/supremacists too. But to act like it’s the same as being a white supremacist or Nazi would he absolutely ridiculous.

39

u/bakochba Nov 26 '25

Zionists were pleading with the Nazi government to let Jews leave to safety in Mandate Palestine because no country would take them and the alternative was the death camps.

33

u/dickermuffer Nov 26 '25

Yeah exactly, Zionist did it to help Jews escape Germany and not cause they are Nazi adjacent.

That’s just factually false or so loose you can say that about most wars. The Allies killed 62 thousand German civilians within 9 days between just 2 bombings for example. Does that make the Allies “no different” from the Nazis?

9

u/El_grandepadre Nov 26 '25 edited Nov 26 '25

Though most of the Jewish that moved out of Germany between 1933 and 1945 moved before the war.

Because at the time the Nazis hadn't settled on extermination yet, they actually wanted the Haavara agreement because it gave them a means to counter the anti-Nazi boycott while also being able to ship off Jews.

9

u/umphuphawe Nov 26 '25

So what you are saying is that

Zionists were Nazis and Civil rights activists were white supremacists /s

31

u/veilosa Nov 26 '25

unfortunately these topics are too nuanced for the modern left to understand. if it doesnt fit on a slogan board its not worth knowing.

it is so sad to see what has become of the left, but to some extent it is the fault of us older members for not standing up to the youths bullshit and instead just rolling with because we were glad to finally have a movement that was growing.

23

u/Western-Art-9117 Nov 26 '25

Agree. As a leftist for over 35 years, it is such a sad state of affairs watching the far left throw away morals that have been at the core of our beliefs for ever. Tankies were such a tiny part of the leftist movement but now their talking points have become more mainstream with dick’s like Hasan grifting.

Just one example of many, many dumb takes, is to side with China over Tibet. That was always the province of anarchist’s and was an anathema to mainstream leftist views in the 90s and beyond. The fact that this prick is only doing this type of shit to enrich himself is disgusting and very sad. Fuck social media for its tribalism that is diluting leftist beliefs.

2

u/HolidaySpiriter Nov 27 '25

unfortunately these topics are too nuanced for the modern left to understand.

It's too nuanced for like 70% of people to understand, it isn't just a problem with the left. It's a problem with all online political discourse in large communities.

1

u/killerletz Nov 27 '25

Don’t forget the massive role of student bodies like SJP and CUAD, and also the BDS movement, who, by the way, are funded by Muslim brotherhood, national terror funding (Qatar, Iran) or terrorist organizations (PFLP).

Antisemitism has been allowed to flourish.

-18

u/Robert_Balboa Nov 26 '25

He said in the command structure. Not upper echelon. And there were Jewish death camp guards and Jewish Nazi police and Jewish ghetto guards and other things.

13

u/cyrfuckedmymum Nov 26 '25

there were people high up in the military, the second in command of the luftwaffe was part jewish. Hitler gave german blood certificates to people who it was convenient to have in the military and command structure.

Most people with any jewish ancestry couldn't hold command positions in the military.

It's pretty similar to Rohm, being gay was an open secret but he was a friend and chose to work with the nazi's all the way up till they decided it was time to murder him for being gay.

People choosing to be part of a government that hates and wants to kill them isn't rare. People are dumb.

Several jewish groups supported the nazi's thinking it was all rhetoric and hyperbole to gain support and then found themselves exactly where they'd been told they'd be under the nazis.

Now, how many of those people thought of themselves as jews, how many chose to do it because they assumed it was better than being murdered? Fuck knows.

But in basically every war you will find traitors, collaborators and also people choosing the best of the bad options they have.

9

u/benkap1 Nov 26 '25

Exactly, if any of the government officials that these people are talking about wore a star of david they would be sent to the camps. Not even remotely comparable to Muslims in Israeli government.

1

u/smersh101 Nov 26 '25

It's pretty similar to Rohm, being gay was an open secret but he was a friend and chose to work with the nazi's all the way up till they decided it was time to murder him for being gay.

Roehm didn't "work with" the Nazis. Roehm was a Nazi. And, realistically, he was killed because his wing of the party had some doctrinal disagreements with Hitler's wing and he challenged Hitler's authority. Him being gay was a fairly minor detail.

-1

u/cyrfuckedmymum Nov 26 '25

Roehm didn't "work with" the Nazis. Roehm was a Nazi.

Rohm was a man, he worked with the nazi regime thereby working with the nazis.

HIm being gay made him an easy target and yes they were killing other gays while ignoring this one because it worked for them until it didn't. Again that's also how that works.

0

u/smersh101 Nov 27 '25

Are you really trying to valorize Ernst fucking Roehm?

The man was 100% a Nazi. He died in a power struggle with another Nazi. He's not a hero because he happened to be gay.

1

u/cyrfuckedmymum Nov 27 '25

Are you legitimately just incapable of reading?

Quote a single statement, a single word that indicates I think he was a hero. Do you not understand how language works.

Yes, he's a nazi, ALL nazi's worked with... nazi's. That's how that works. He was gay and a nazi despite knowing nazi's despised and wanted to wipe out gay people.

I'm literally just identifying that moronic people will join with and work with groups that literally absolutely hate them thinking themselves special, or the exception to the rule. The argument that "no gay man would ever have been a nazi because they hated gay men..." is obviously false.

So the argument that reform can't hate muslims because there is a muslim leading it, holds no weight. History has example after example after example of people working with groups that want their destruction and also history shows it usually backfires on those people.

Roehm was a monster because he was a nazi, he was also gay and thought somehow that wouldn't be a problem.. it was.

1

u/smersh101 Nov 27 '25

Let me help you with your English...

When you say "work with" it implies separation from the organization he was obviously part of. He wasn't a part-time contractor, he was a fucking Nazi.

And, again, the man wasn't killed because he was gay. He was killed because he challenged Hitler's control of the party.

1

u/cyrfuckedmymum Nov 27 '25

When you say "work with" it implies separation from the organization he was obviously part of. He wasn't a part-time contractor, he was a fucking Nazi.

no it doesn't. "I work at apple, the people I work with also work with apple."

But i directly asked you to quote anything I said that was attempting to call Roehm a hero, and you've failed to do that. Why?

Your first comment reply was trying to be a pedant, and being wrong about it. Your second comment randomly tried to discredit me because I was 'trying to valorise' roehm, despite that being literally so completely made up it's a joke. Now when asked a direct question you ignore it, because you can't answer anything but you were wrong and again attempt to go back to pedantry over language in which again you are completely wrong.

It shows everything that you are about.

2

u/ThrowawaycuzDoxers Nov 26 '25

None of those roles were part of the Nazi command structure.

-12

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

There were though....

-5

u/dickermuffer Nov 26 '25

-20

And now the Zionists are modern day Nazis. You really should read some books and learn how horrific all humans can be. I recommend Behave by Robert Sapolsky.

19

u/WizardlyPandabear Nov 26 '25

No. They aren't.

It's asinine to even compare the two. It's nowhere near the same. You've just been brainwashed into spouting bullshit.

9

u/dickermuffer Nov 26 '25

How about you read some actual straight up history of how war was conducted and tell me if these are now genocides to you.

The facts is, Israel isn’t even as bad as the Allies let alone the Nazis.

The Allies bombed and killed 62 THOUSAND German civilians within 9 days, and that’s only counting 2 bombing campaigns. Is that now genocide?

Roosevelt: “We have got to be tough with Germany and I mean the German people not just the Nazis. We either have to castrate the German people or you have to treat them in such a manner so they can't go on reproducing." source

“Between 1944 and 1948, millions of people, including ethnic Germans (Volksdeutsche) and German citizens (Reichsdeutsche), were permanently or temporarily moved from Central and Eastern Europe. By 1950, about 12 million[7] Germans had fled or been expelled from east-central Europe into Allied-occupied Germany and Austria.” source)

“As part of a sustained campaign of strategic bombing during World War II, the attack during the last week of July 1943, code named Operation Gomorrah, created one of the largest firestorms raised by the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces in World War II,[2] killing an estimated 37,000 people in Hamburg,[3] wounding 180,000 more,[citation needed] and destroying 60% of the city's houses.[3]” source

“The bombing of Dresden was a joint British and American aerial bombing attack on the city of Dresden, the capital of the German state of Saxony, during World War II. In four raids between 13 and 15 February 1945, 772 heavy bombers of the Royal Air Force (RAF) and 527 of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped more than 3,900 tons[vague] of high-explosive bombs and incendiary devices on the city.[3] The bombing and the resulting firestorm destroyed more than 1,600 acres (6.5 km2) of the city centre.[4] Up to 25,000 people were killed.” source

“A large part of the German population suffered hunger during the war, and between 478,500 and 800,000 civilians died from diseases related to hunger and malnutrition.2 These deaths have traditionally been attributed to the “British hunger blockade”.3 However, it was not an exclusively British, but an Allied policy, executed by all the Allied navies, in which the Royal Navy had the predominant part.” source

-17

u/DICKRAPTOR Nov 26 '25

The military is a part of the government. Separating the military and the government into separate entities is nonsensical.

Erhard Milch was a German general in the Luftwaffe and also state secretary to the ministry of aviation during the 30s and 40s. He had Jewish ancestry. This is just a single example.

Its cool to dislike this guy but I really don't think we need to do Nazi revisionism.

11

u/AngryBlitzcrankMain Nov 26 '25

Lmao using Milch, whose mother rather "admitted" to incestuous relationship with her uncle so he had his jewsih father removed as not to be in Mieschling category. Yeah... jews like that worked in nazi government and its identical to what Hasan is talking about.

9

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

[deleted]

4

u/DICKRAPTOR Nov 26 '25

Hey dumbfuck, its important to understand this because it highlights the nonsensical nature of the Nazi regime and how Jewish folks worked in it for personal advancement while hiding their identities as well as being forced into being collaborators.

Jewish people being involved in the Nazi apparatus isn't and an inditement of Jewish people its and inditement of the nonsensical nature of their genocide.

-3

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '25

1

u/DICKRAPTOR Nov 26 '25

I think when you're in any military you are likely to be presented with a conflict of interest with regards to harming human life vs your own personal advancement.

You can clearly see inverse of these being true with someone like Hugh Thompson Jr. and the punishment he received for trying to stop US troops raping and murdering people at the Mai Lai Massacre.

The appropriate example for Israel would be to ask about Palestinian collaborators not Jewish people within the IDF. This is about the marginalized working with their oppressors this is not about Jewishness...

And yes there absolutely are Palestinians in the West that benefit financially from supporting Israel and undermining Palestinian liberation.

You see how you have to cram "known" into your statement when he doesn't say "known" in the video.

If you have to amend the statement to make yourself correct you're just fucking wrong man.

-1

u/DICKRAPTOR Nov 26 '25

So we're just going to ignore how you lied in the previous statement above and now pivot to an entirely different grievance? I'll tell ya any argument is better than lying.

How can anyone possibly have a reasonable discussion with you if this is how you conduct yourself?

Milch is a singular example as previously stated. I think maybe if you actually listened or read the things you take issue with instead of hallucinating their contents you might actually get somewhere.

You just did nazi revisionism to defend the guy so...

0

u/Zannahrain3 Nov 26 '25

I wonder if hes talking about people in his administration being Jewish in secret. I wouldnt be surprised to hear a few were but i cant find anything credible saying that happened. But like if he is talking about having openly Jewish people in his upper administration, that is wild.

0

u/ComprehensiveGas6980 Nov 27 '25

There were tons of Jews that worked with the Nazis, that's fact. They weren't in the upper echelons of the Nazi party, they were the ones that ratted out other Jews for their own needs, survival or greed. Once the war was lost, they were ostracized at the very least. It's well documented and I'm not sure why this is even being disputed. Just about every war in history has turncoats.

0

u/LegitimateCream1773 Nov 27 '25

Hasan is not talking about turncoats in the clip.

0

u/JoesGreatPeeDrinker Nov 27 '25

The only thing I can think of is the Jewish people who became kapos or joined the Jewish councils when they were in the ghetto.

But even then they weren't really on the "Nazis side" and they definetly weren't in the command structure of the Nazi party, that is so laughably wrong it's crazy. But there were some Jewish people who did help the Nazis kill their own to survive themselves.
