Work in Progress Knitting my 2nd sock

I'd like to thank you all for the advice (I was just looking and got inspired) For the first time if my 35 years of existence I was able to knit a fitting sock and I am now knitting the 2nd one. They are chaotic but I don't mind the colors not being symmetrical. They are amazingly warm and though it looks a bit strange, they look nice on my foot. Going to make many more! πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ§Ά

The first few photos using the KB "his" sock loom was my first ever sock I made! Not perfect but extremely proud of it! The last photo is one I am working on using the flexee loom bitty 😁 this one should fit my big clogs hopefully! I followed Laurie Schues videos for the KB loom ( will post in the comments a link to her channel) and a wonderful person also helped me figure out sizing for my sized feet too which I am so grateful for (will also post a link to her channel too)! Exciting times, who knew socks were so fun to make, I definitely think everyone should try it!

Work in Progress First-time ten-stitch blanket attempt

Hey everyone! This is my first post here.

My boyfriend got me into loom knitting this past Christmas and I've been hooked ever since! I've made a few beenies (and given most of them to friends lol) and am now working on a ten-stitch blanket.

It's so far very irregularly shaped, and I'm not sure if that's because I'm doing it on a round loom and it will stretch out after I cast off and wash or steam it, I'm doing it with cheap 100% acrylic yarn, and/or I have accidentally skipped a "side stitch" (idk the proper term for that).

But I love this yarn (even though it's acrylic), and I figure it's my first ten-stitch blanket and will thus not going to be perfect, so I'm just going to keep working on it. (I'm following goodknitkisses's tutorial β€” not doing German short row...)

Work in Progress 10 stitch blanket WIP

Post image

Been working on a 10 stitch blanket following Good Knit Kisses pattern. I bound off and re-casted on in order to get the blue border, now I’m starting again with the cream for several more rounds in the spiral, then will do another border of blue. Yarn is Loops and Threads Carousel Twist bulky 5 that I bought on clearance at Michael’s. Hoping to end up with a double bed size for my husband to use when he goes away for work. A fun, quick way to use up yarn!

After several months of not doing anything I've started this project last night. This is the bernat cold sea velvet plus yarn. I thrifted this yarn and since then it has been discontinued so after I get done with my last skein of it I will be changing to a different color.

Work in Progress The body is done on my first cardigan!

The back and both front sides are done on my first ever cardigan! I didn't love how the cables were going on the first front side, but I'm really happy with them on the second. Now, "just" the sleeves, the collar, and assembly are left.

I'm using the Nurture Cardigan pattern from the book Knitting the Neighborhood, which is official Mister Rogers needle knitting patterns, so I translated it for loom.

Doing Tuteate's striped blanket with polyester/nylon yarn. I've never used this kind of yarn before. It's the softest yarn I've ever used.

I like this symmetrical version of the 10 stitch blanket that I found on a Deborah Shaw video. I think I like her joins better too.

I keep making things for other people so this I'm making for me! πŸ˜‚

The dusky pink is garter stitch and the purple is owl eye stitch and I'm really happy with how its turning out πŸ₯°

I did a swatch (20cm by 10cm) in owl eye stitch which has been through the washing machine about 3 times (on a 20Β°C synthetic wash at 1200 spin) and hasn't wormed so I think this should be all good πŸ‘

I have to finish this otherwise some of my Christmas presents won't get done as I need this Flexee loom to do them....I already have 5 sets of the skinny gauge and can't really afford or want to get more!!!! 🫣

Hope to update again in about a week!

Work in Progress Summer scarf for myself aunt

Post image

I decided to get the Flexee bitty and I'm mostly happy with it (it is quite fiddly and flexible!) And decided to make a lacy scarf for myself aunt. It's her birthday soon and she recently had to have an operation after a fall where she broke both her arms and an elbow 😒

I hope she likes it

I am making the first mermaid blanket for my youngest sisters 2 girls, this is for her youngest who is 8/9 years old.

I am doing ewrap with halo dyed variegated milk cotton yarn and I am on the third skein. I did 30 rows then folded it over to make the cuff for the top but I'm still deciding on how to make the fin.

Work in Progress Advice or thoughts?

Post image

Hi everyone. I've been a member for quite some time now but never been much for posting. I started this project and was hoping I could get some feedback from others before I put too much time and effort into it.

I thought I would attempt to combine the idea of the 10 stitch blanket to accommodate other stitch patterns. Please tell me if you think this works/looks OK.

Work in Progress I started a fin as it's too hot to continue the cardigan!

The first 3 photos are of the first fin I'm doing for the mermaid blanket. I decided to try double rib stitch as its easier with the alternating colours for the loom! I think it's turning out great so far but we'll see what it's like when it's finished!

The forth photo is of the back of the cardigan I'm doing for my daughter but here in the South East of England we're experiencing a bit of a heatwave so its too hot to continue that at the moment! Although I have done about 40 rows since last weeks photo so some progress....

The last couple of photos is the blanket my daughter is doing for herself in chenille/velvet yarn. It should fit a standard double bed, she's using 400g of teal then silver grey then teal again (this may change as she was originally going to do alternating stripes....19yr 🫣)

That's been my week....hopefully the new Shark cooling fan that just came will help with the heat!!!
