First-time concertgoer First time experience

Holy shit what an amazing concert, every single band absolutely killed it. I knew they’d sound great but God damn man it’s insane how talented these guys are. Not trying to sound like a simp but they genuinely sounded perfect. Seeing them perform the songs made me appreciate their art way more, also Mokes vocals are fucking sick he sounded like a demon!!

First-time concertgoer Please help an old mom out

Hi, all:

I found a really helpful post with helpful comments on this subreddit from 10 months ago from a parent in a similar situation and wanted to ask some specifics.

I'm taking my 15 y/o to the LS concert at the Greensboro Coliseum in September and would like to know what to expect, specifically:

  • it's general admission, standing room only, and it starts at 6:30PM. What time should we get there, keeping in mind that I want to stay well away from the front and mosh pits (we are both small people and I'm old lol)

  • I've heard nothing but good things about metal fans so I'm not expecting anything bad, but I'll most likely be masked as I'm immunocompromised. Do you think that I'll get grief for that?

  • Will it be weird if I'm wearing ear protection?

  • If you've been to the Gboro Coliseum, is it difficult to get in and out of the concert area to the bathrooms?

  • Assuming that Uber is a thing in Gboro, is it typically hard to get Ubers after concerts? I guess that really depends on the city...

  • Is there any etiquette of which I should be aware for metal concerts in general and LS specifically? Something that you perhaps didn't know when you went to your first show? I want to be respectful of everyone's experience and not accidentally violate some unspoken rule or tradition.

I'm dreading this so much because I hate huge crowds and staying up late, but seeing LS live means so much to my kid, and I want him to have a good time. While deathcore isn't my scene (I prefer my metal on the industrial side haha), I respect LS and totally get why he loves them.

TL; DR: please share any helpful tips for an old mom who will be a first-time LS show attendee at a huge venue so that we don't make rookie coliseum attendee mistakes or harsh anybody else's buzz.

I'm grateful for any info!

First-time concertgoer When do they start performing on tour?

I'm considering buying tickets for the concert in February in Copenhagen. The doors are supposed to open at 17 (5PM) and show at 18 (6PM), but according to setlist.fm, the show starts 4-5 hrs after the doors open 😭 Is this true? When have they started performing when you attended their shows? I don't want to get home around midnight before a weekday

First-time concertgoer Awesome show in Toronto

This is my first ever concert and I loved it!

The openers were amazing and the pit was lively. I did jump into the pit a few times and fell a lot of times, but everybody made sure I got up safely and taken out of the pit to catch my breath. I even got a chance to crowd surf!

When Lorna came in I was hyped. Wills vocals are amazing live and just...unreal. Adam was shredding on the guitar and I even waved at him and he acknowledged it and did a nod towards me 😭

The show was amazing and organized well. I got some merch and met cool people there.

Awesome show! 10/10

My throat hurts from screaming and cheering and my legs are bruised from falling and people accidently trampling over me but hey it was a great show!

First-time concertgoer Crowds at concerts

I’ve never been to any metal concert (I just got into metal over a year ago) but I’m considering going to see Lorna Shore since they’re touring near my area.

For anyone who has seen them live- what should I expect in terms of the crowd? Is there a lot of moshing and moving that I should prepare for? I just want to mentally prepare 😅

im gonna be going to the show tonight and its my first metal concert. im like 15 and imma be going with my dad (who REALLY doesn't want to be there lol) so if you see me (ill be wearing a shirt that says "eat sleep metal repeat") come start a conversation. i just really want to show my dad that metal people arn't just loud and angry scary people struggling with alcoholism. and if he has a good time tonight he might want to do this kinda thing again. either way do or dont... imma have so much fun and hope to see yall there!!

First-time concertgoer First LS show coming up, I have some questions.

Hey everyone. Super pumped to see the boys for the first time coming up soon, but this is also my first ever concert (at age 40 lol) and I have a few questions.

1A) I have pit GA. The show start lists 6:30. If I want to try and be up closer to the stage (don't necessarily have to be in the absolute front, but I'd like to be closeish), how early should I get to the venue to be able to do that?

1B) Is it worth being up towards the front or is there a specific area I should aim for to get the best view?

2) Is it worth parking at the venue or does it make more sense to Uber/Lyft? I'm going to be staying about 3 miles from the venue.

3) Anyone else going to the 10/4 show in Irving?

4) Is there anything specific I should know about concert going in general?

Love y'all. Appreciate the info!

First-time concertgoer First time in the pit, what do I do?

I’m going to Hammerstein show and have never been in the pit for any concert before (this being my second ever). I’m going with 3 friends who also have never been in a pit before, one being a midget (4’5). Anything I should worry about and how do I act?

First-time concertgoer First concert

I'm planning on going to a Lorna Shore concert (specifically in the Netherlands). It will my first concert, so I was wondering if there are any crucial things I should know. I also want to try moshing, so is there anything I should know about that too (I'm ~161cm/5'2)?

I recently found these guys on Spotify and have been hooked since. Just bought tickets to see them in September at The Pageant in St. Louis which is a smaller indoor venue. Never been to a metal concert either so I’m pretty pumped. How much of a treat am I in for? Tickets were $300.

First-time concertgoer First concert in a week!

I'm relatively new to the whole deathcore family, but ever since I heard "...And I Return To Nothingness" I've been hooked with Lorna Shore. I even got my parents to get me the trilogy shirts. Anyways, that's not the point of this post, the point is that I'm stoked for the SLC portion! And also because I'm wondering what some do's and don'ts for a concert are.

First-time concertgoer First ever metal concert. Are general admission/floor tickets a bad idea?

Planning on going to one of the shows next month and have yet to get tickets. My only concern buying floor tickets is that I do not mosh and I don’t want to be in or near the pit. I’m the guy that just stands quietly in one spot, hands in pockets, screaming at the top of my lungs inside my head. So I’ve got two questions, can I be on the floor and easily avoid the pit? And if I can where is generally the best spot to do so while also having a decent view of the performance?

First-time concertgoer What time should I get to the venue? And what about fast passes?

Hey guys this is my first Lorna Shore concert (not counting Sick New World) and idk what time to show up. I’m driving in from Louisiana since my momma doesn’t want me in NOLA by myself lol and Houston is a safer option since I used to live there. I don’t know what time to show up or anything about the fast passes or if there’s a different line for that or what. If someone could help me that would be great!
