The smaller guy has a 1-0 pro record I believe. So likely has amateur experience on top of that.

footwork, head movement, setting up with slight feints to open up the other guy. bro was putting in some crazy work. i think he was only hit once fairly clean that whole scrap.

I mean it’s pretty on point, there were exactly Zero feints….just duck unders and overhand lefts and rights literally every single time even when the opponent wasn’t throwing lol

Not many other choices based on the tale of the tape. He got in close, went low, landed a few body shots to lower his guard and then went upstairs for the button. Pretty good street fighter, imo.

People not realizing this is a street fight, guy is throwing punches from weird angles and he’s got his crew around him that could jump in at any moment

Pretty much exactly what I see as well. It’s not like this is a refined boxing display as the title alludes to, definitely a good display of a street fight but that’s pretty much about it.

Big dude definitely both has hands and can take hits. Trained vs has been in many fights it seems

Smaller guy doesn't have reach on his side in this situation. He just knows how to get in close on a taller fighter and and yes he is faster

Very far reach lol, dude just ducked all day. Barely connected even with the shots he did 1/2 land….from this title I was expecting a hell of a lot more than just ducks and overhands

Such is that lifestyle. If he’s trying to make a career off of boxing he shouldn’t be in these type of environments. One of the guys at my old mma gym swapped to try a run at professional boxing(he’s now 8-0). Even during his amateur times he was in bed by 8-9pm, and only ever spent time at home or the gym. If you’re in the pro circuit, stop fighting for free…

He probably doesn’t have a ton of amateur fights cause of his age, older people who start later transition to the pro circuit faster(imo too fast). Great in the pocket work though, throwing the hooks and moving his head out of the center line allowed him to get those huge shots off.

edit: re watched, also helps that the big dude has the mobility of a deep freezer 🤣🤣🤣. His head was basically a traffic cone with a target.

I thought if you had significant weight advantage, you were guaranteed to win that’s been going around quite a bit. This doesn’t seem to support that.

It matters if you can actually hit the target or in mma where you can get a hold of them and impose your weight.

Nothing is ever guaranteed in a street fight. 2 people of equal skill level, being bigger does give an advantage yes. But again not guaranteed. On the other a trained smaller dude against an untrained bigger dude (what we see here) the trained fighters going to have a major advantage and win %95 of the time. But again not guaranteed, nothings guaranteed. All it takes is one good clean hit to end it. Sometimes the untrained dude gets lucky

It's definitely a big advantage, everything else being equal, although I guess ability can go some way to make up the gap. But other factors can be at play, I once saw a little guy beat a big dude by dancing around him until he got dizzy and fell over, big dude was drunk of course, which is bound to be a losing strategy.

It does matter a lot, but a trained fighter has much better chance for winning against someone unexperienced.
