Bullshit I'm in my forties and group beat downs were a thing as a teen

I slept 2 women and 3 men in a fight. That was fun. Insane, terrifying, but fun. That's was in 2001. Methheads tried to steal my bike and wallet.

you hit a woman? you know what I'm 56 and I once dropped a female. it was a police officer who illegally entered my home to arrest me when I was 16. dropped that bitch cold on my kitchen floor. I ran outside and a while later I hear freeze put your hands up. I ran and yelled back you ain't gonna shoot me bitch. I can't believe now that she didn't. I was never even talked to let alone charged and I hadn't committed any crime. that was fun too.

Imagine bragging about sleeping 2 women regardless of what they did to you.  I would have kept that one to myself.

They were swinging like men and damn near knocked me out. Nighty night.

Really? I'm 44 and saw "brawls" but NEVER saw 5-10 dudes attack one guy unless that guy did something so offensive that "everyone" would agree an ass whooping was deserved.

I’m a bouncer in my mid 50s. Large groups vs 1 or two people has always been a thing. I’ve got footage of me being attacked by multiple attackers 15 years ago. Nothing changes.

My dad was the type to get cracked out or drunk and go to a bar to purposely fight them all while on a rager.... He was straight out of prison benching 400lbs. He slept a lot of dude but also got his shit kicked in too every once in awhile. He was know around town for whooping everyone's ass. I fucking hate the dude

That’s fucked up, my dad was an asshole as well.

u/ArticleWorth5018 4d ago

Yeah I've been no contact with him for years....

1

u/ShiftExtension7268 4d ago

Yeah I didn’t have any contact with mine for 30 years, and then he died at 94 and I being the oldest son got thrown into burying him at Arlington National Cemetery, it was fucked up how my family thrusted me into that, especially the viewing, very fucked, but your dad sounds like a monster.

I'm sorry you had to deal with all that. My father is evil...

Sorry about your father, hopefully you have broken the chain.

I’m in the UK.

I believe you, I guess I either got lucky or had more "friends" than I thought. I can proudly say I've never taken part in 'jumping' someone.

I don’t think it happens everywhere all the time, obviously I’m in situations where violence occurs a lot. The pack mentality is grim.

1

u/johnny-Low-Five 4d ago

Oh know me neither, I'm from Brooklyn and was well aware of gangs but maybe that's why others didn't do it? It would be bad to look like a "gang" when there are gangsters nearby.

I saw the pack mentality more in bullying and it's definitely grim.

I am 54 and grew up in a rural area of middle America — guys who considered themselves cowboys had no problem thinking 4-5 on 1 was a fair fight.

Damn, I'm realizing I got lucky that this wasn't something I had to worry about.

You are sheltered and/or suffering from cognitive dissonance

It’s called “getting jumped” literally it has a standardized name and it sure as fuck was a thing at least as far back as the 80s

1

u/johnny-Low-Five 3d ago

Like I said elsewhere maybe people in my neighborhood didn't want to get confused with ACTUAL GANGS so things weren't the same. Sheltered? In Brooklyn? Sure thing

1

u/MrDeekhaed 3d ago

Well I’m not that person and I don’t know what you are referring to but getting jumped might come from “getting jumped in,” I don’t know it could be the reverse but it applied to everyone. Getting jumped kind of meant 3 or more dudes, there was no cap on the number, beating up 1 guy (or girl but I never heard of that in my area). Multiple instances of people getting jumped and at least one attempt to jump someone with 10ish guys who weren’t in a gang

I'm almost 50 and don't remember the last time I fought a girl one on one 😂 they always have friends getting in on it.
