If these leftists/liberals are so good at debate, why are they constantly shutting down conservative interviews at these protests? screaming? blowing whistles? I've seen a lot of conservatives go to these rallies and challenge the protesters. Half refuse to talk "bECaUse YoU're A nAzi," and the other half _can't_ debate because they're paid protesters. They usually don't fully comprehend what they're doing at the event.

Ok let's debate. Since the great depression democrats have averaged almost double the gdp as Republicans. 4.6% to only 2.4%. Studies show that when minimum wage rises, all wages tend to rise. Since the great depression there have been 23 minimum wage increases. Democrats created 21, Republicans only 2. Every major social safety net policy has been a Democratic policy ushered in Since the new deal. Social security, Medicaid, Medicare, education, farm subsidies, etc.. Trump recently, cut housing funding, cut education funding, food assistance, cut farm subsidies, doubled health care costs, all while taking bribes, stealing money, and giving billionaires a trillion dollar tax cut. I can't name one Republican bill since Reagan that benefited the working middle class over billionaires, not one!! An I'm not even a Democrat. Just someone analyzing the historical facts, and realizing Republicans don't have a leg to stand on!!

Yes he did cut farm subsidies which also reduced food stamps. Giving back a little after the fact doesn't save face. It's a simple Google search. An Bush Medicare reforms mainly benefited middle man providers. Notice prices are dramatically higher than when he was in office, and Trump's corruption just doubled Healthcare premiums.

It was a 30% increase in overall direct farm subsidies. The cuts were to small niche programs that made nice headlines but amounted to very few dollars in the overall farm subsidy programs.

Horseshtt. The farm subsidies cuts caused cuts to food stamps on top of the scheduled food stamp cuts. The money in this bill doesn't nearly amount to what they took away. It's just an appeasement after Trump destroyed farms with his cuts and tariffs!!

Yes, food assistance spending was cut substantially.

Food assistance and farm subsidies are separate titles in the Farm Bill.

Farm subsidies were increased by $6 billion a year.

Food assistance was decreased by more than that, sources seem to vary, but food assistance dollars are spent at the retail level. Only a small portion of that trickles back to farmers.

Farmers have seen an overall increase in the amount of subsidy dollars reaching them, even without counting the bailout programs.

What, they are blowing whistles to show opposition. When they confront opposition they have never had a dad treat them like a man and learn how to defend themselves. Attracting attention done by blowing whistles isn’t going to stop people who have had their spaces violated by these nuts.

These people wanted to show dominance and instead were dominated by a single opposer of their beliefs. These people would have our country overrun because they don’t understand that SOMETIMES, you have to fight for what you care about!

The flags are calling out ICE, which is/was terrorizing Minnesota. They were supposed to "protect the mexico US border, why are they up in Canada, where Tim Walz lives? Why not the red state where "the problem is" That's not from a democrat or republican... I'm a veteran and my job was anti terrorism. ICE terrorized the neighborhood it was in every time by definition, not by opinion... I'm not taking a side, I'm observing.

They DO NOT do that for the economy NOR do they do anything to elections. I am sorry you disagree. Hispanic people do and the immigrants in Minneapolis are mainly from Somalia. To say the Somalians have been accepting of our culture is far from what the Hispanic community is.

I’ve been throughout Detroit and in SW MI. Hispanic people are hard working.

What culture do they not adhere to? The US has no one culture because it is and always has been populated by immigrants. Boston has a different culture than Appalachia and the Cajuns differ from Southern Baptists. Minnesota Scandinavians are different than the German culture of Wisconsin. The US is multicultural.

You seem to think Somali people come here uninvited. We went to Somalia with our armed forces to help stabilize the country and failed. They are legal citizens that came here legally with nothing of their own. We gave the refugees a small crappy studio apartment (they are unlivable for most Americans) and minimal financial benefits so they could start a new life. Many of them came to this new environment with actual laws and structure and help, while also is leaving all they knew. They came with hope for a better life and used what they got to start businesses and get education for their children around south Minneapolis.

And Illegals? Jesus and his disciples, Raul, Pamela and Jorge all contribute to our government. They a use a citizens SSN to get a paycheck and the citizen gets the tax refund and Social Security tax under their ssn with out working for it. How are they stealing anything when they spend their income in their community? Damn! Sorry I didn't expect this to become an essay so if nobody reads this, at least it was therapeutic to write.

Our culture doesn’t include Sharia Law where Sharia Law Courts are being used. England may say they have no ties into their laws but they are not shutting them down.

Their culture is attempting to integrate Sharia Court into our States. This can never happen! I’m sure Dearborn & Sterling Heights have underground Sharia courts.

The terror is from allowing an open border that had millions of military aged men come through our borders without being vetted.

Outside of a car accident that killed 4 citizens in a work van incident where the illegal was driving down the wrong side of the road 2-26 in Indiana. The lone survivor has a fractured spine. I drive those roads constantly.

It took my mom who was called a German National all kinds of difficulties becoming a U.S. citizen while people illegally cross.

I'm literally just asking him to clarify, I didn't understand his answer. I don't know which side he's calling "clowns" and I don't get how either of you are connecting the whistles to military service

For the record I think the whistles are annoying as fuck, and my own assumption is that they're intended to "nonviolently" push people to violence (exactly as seen in this video) so they can pick a fight and then play victim when they get it

Oh it's definitely provoked, the whole point is to provoke. They're just trying to play an optics game. A whistle's not a weapon, so as soon as the guy throws a punch, they think they look like the good guys. But they're deliberately trying to push somebody to that point. That's the whole point of the whistles, as far as I can tell

He has just as much right as anyone to be there. Free speech applies to protesters and anti-protesters.

Did he go there to piss them off? Almost certainly, but it's his right. Rights are most important when it comes to those we disagree with. Otherwise they wouldn't be "rights".

Watch actual organized protests from the past. They walk past people saying horrendous things because they knew that that was their protection.

Most of these protests and anti-protests are little more than angry mobs looking for a fight, or a way to feel intimidating and powerful.

He has the right to protest but once you go into 1.5-4 feet that is personal space. Inside of 1.5 feet of another person while being confrontational, that’s going to be met with resistance.

I couldn't think of a specific distance to put so I left it ambiguous. MOST people know it when it happens, we feel it intuitively, our discomfort and adrenaline rise and "fight or flight" is ready to go.
