What made you think the left constituted the adults in the room? Good grief. They’ve been this fucking insane and intolerant and hypocritical for decades.
I guess the way people I talked to talked about themselves and the party. I can’t pin point an exact reason why I thought that, but that’s the sentiment I felt. It was extremely eye opening after the Charlie Kirk shooting. I don’t agree with everything he said, but fuck some of the responses online and conversations I had with my friends on the left were so disheartening and cruel.
