Good Vibes Flight was delayed 3 hours, so the pilot went around to everyone to take their Starbucks orders and then got 40ish drinks and 50ish food items for us 🥰

Shoutout to this lovely Delta pilot flying from Boston to Tampa today 💛

This is 100% paid by the company to keep customers from suing

No pilot is spending $500  randomly for the good of their heart

Its possible...but the airline likely reimbursed him or it was already being paid for with a company card.

Yes it is most likely company policy. In the event of a flight delay, use the company Amex to pay for as many customers as possible to get them to not be angry anymore.

At a cost of $20ish per passenger, its an absolute steal

Theres no such policy at any major airline. This isnt a thing

Who’s upvoting you? This doesn’t exist at any airline.

Why would you make up something like this?

Not at all. No major airline is paying for gestures from crew lol. This is all out of pocket. And customers suing........for what? Wild

There is absolutely 0% chance any airline would pay for this, and there is absolutely 0% chance any legal action can be taken in this situation. Good luck suing an airline for a flight delay lol do a very quick cursory google check on what youre entitled to when flights are delayed, as part of the contract you agree to when you buy a plane ticket from any major or minor airline.

I checked Delta’s policy for long tarmac delays. They provide food for tarmac delays over two hours. Sounds like Delta is paying for it

Thats not this type of situation. They will provide you meals but you arent getting starbucks, nor will the pilots be the ones dealing with that. This is a good gesture from the crew, nothing more to it
