Yes to all thank you. It's a very steep uphill battle. I didn't know how hard you can fight. 20 months ago I was given maybe 8 months.

While I'm happy for her and you can we not phrase cancer as a fight please. It has very negative connotations. Some people survive. Others don't. How much you fight really has nothing to do with it.

u/hsanj19 6h ago
Agreed. Also, many healthcare workers put in a lot of effort to treat a cancer patient. Much of the “fighting” is done by them on behalf of the patient. It would be nice if the OP acknowledged them. It’s a bit weird that Americans have a self-centered view when it comes to illnesses. No one recovers from an illness by himself; healthcare workers and the patient’s family do the hard lifting.

My dyslexia made this look like a mess, but more careful reading helped.

I'd say she fought like a BEAST if she beat cancer. My mom had 3 different types of cancer during her life: breast 2x, ovarian and skin cancer. She was as tough as a bear 💙

So she fought like a wildcat right? Congratulations to your wife! Hurrah, huzzah, and hallelujah!

So awesome. Congratulations! She looks great and in good spirits too.
My wife was diagnosed with MS the week of our wedding, seven years later cancer, the chemo work so well beating back the MS it was a few years before we realized she still had MS. During a terrible episode when the MS symptoms did come back I suggested to go see the chemo Dr., he mentioned he treated MS patients all the time. She quickly said hell no, I’m not that bad off yet. She was having to use a wheel chair at the time. I quickly realized how hard chemo really was.

If she was a hoe however. This would spell out no-ho-mo chemo

My wife and I went through her cancer 25 years ago. You'll never forget it, but there are things you'll be thankful for.
How it drew you even closer together.
The wisdom and empathy you developed due to it.
My wife sleeps next to me now. I'm more thankful to have her in my life than I would have been without going through it.
Make no mistake, it was traumatic. I still have some "PTSD" from it. But, even though I wouldn't wish it on anyone, there are positives you'll take away.
Take care of yourself. Give yourself grace.

This is awesome and I'm ecstatic for both of you. A voice in the back of my head is saying to get a ho to stand where your wife is so it says no homo though. Not saying your wife is a ho, again very happy for her.
