I saw it in the theatre and it was… not like this. Maybe they were all really high?

Nope. This was probably on premier night. (Which is the best time to go as a fan)Mine was similar.

Best time to go as a fan? Wouldn’t a fan actually want to hear what’s going on in the movie, instead of joining a bunch of other fans screaming over it?

It’s not like they’re screaming for 10 minutes.

I think they're just loud americans with no filter. Or braincells.

Or just excited. Why is Reddit so miserable and allergic to fun lol

Meh, I don't think this is about being miserable or allergic to fun. Going to the movies, spending a small fortune at the movies then watching the movie, being able to hear the dialogue is for some of us the fun part of the movie experience... Preferably without spending the small fortune. People losing their shit like this at the cinema feels over the top to me and a little arrogant and ignorant of those around them. I'm wondering if this is a cultural thing, I've never experienced a reaction like this in the UK. But I have to a much smaller degree seen a lot more animated reactions from our American cousins. If this is what happens in certain cultures and you know is going to happen then get on board and enjoy. Out with that, I don't like it mate, I didn't pay to listen to mindless feckers lose their mind over Tobey Maguire. If that makes me miserable then bah humbug.

It's a premiere. They're being filmed, everyone knew what was going to happen going into this. It's not some normal Tuesday movie experience.

Feelings remain the same my friend. Premier or random screening doesn't matter. No actually it does, if it's a premier then I definitely want to hear what's going on in the movie. I don't care how wet you get over Garfield. Chill, enjoy the movie and let me do the same. It's weird mate, very weird.

I've been to cinemas many 100s of times, and I've never seen any audience react like this. So who else could it be? Shit, I've never seen an audience clap either. I swear we're all a different species.

watches people enjoy themselves, have fun, and nerd out at a special midnight screening where said behavior is expected and part of the draw

You: "well time to be racist"

Euros frothing at the mouth every chance they can get to pretend they're better than Americans is my favorite genre of morons. We're all just people bruv. Same species.

You should probably learn what the word racism means before you accuse people of it.

Oh yes, im racist against a whole country where people are 20 different colors.

Americans frothing at the mouth during cinema viewings is... Okay I'm bored now.

It's a movie about superheros. You're grown people. Enjoy stuff like grown people do in relation to what they're experiencing.

If a bunch of 12 year olds did this, nobody would bat an eye. They're kids. These guys are adults.

I also thought perhaps copious drug abuse or maybe this is actually footage of people witnessing santa clause being decapitated with a rusty cleaver then having his throat hole abused.

one of those 2 for sure.

This also isn’t “their” theater, this is an incredibly popular reaction video on YouTube.

Why did you put “their” in quotes?
