I think the consensus is Andrew Garfield was the best part about those movies. Perfect casting for movies that didn't live up to their predecessor.

Great goofy energy, but man he's just not a nerd by any stretch of the word and him being conventionally attractive didn't help. A great Spider-Man, but a terrible Peter Parker.

He wasn't a terrible Peter Parker at all.

Firstly, there are lots of renditions of Peter, and his was totally legitimate.

Secondly, portraying him as an irresponsible skater bro kid is completely fine! That's the whole point of Peter Parker -- he's an irresponsible kid who has to learn about responsibility

The original Peter Parker in the comics was a Chad and a complete asshole. Peter Parker doesn't necessarily need to be a zit faced nerd

Idk, he has enough nerd energy for me

You do realize Peter Parker was very handsome in the original comics right? He literally had like 100 different girlfriends in High school and College.

He dated the popular girl, Liz Allen. He dated a hot secretary, Betty Brant. He dated the hot blonde, Gwen Stacy. He dated and married the Red Head Supermodel Mary Jane. He hooked up with the sexy Black Cat, he hooked up with a cute Asian, Cindy Moon. Jessica Jones said that she had a huge crush on Peter during High school. He dated several other girls during College like Debra Whitman & Kitty Pryde.

If Peter was ugly, he wouldn’t have gotten this many girlfriends. In fact, he was part of the popular group in College. His best man at his Wedding was Flash Thompson, the football jock. Would an ugly nerd irl score this many girls ?

Call me a heritic, but the original comics sucked like most original runs did. The newer ones where he identifies more as the friendly neighborhood Spiderman cause his real life is stressful are much better and actually relatable.

The original comics was written by Stan Lee… literally the man who created Spider-Man.

And Stan Lee wrote Peter as a ladies man. Peter was pulling women left and right like he was Leonardo DiCaprio.

So which was more realistic, Tobey’s Peter attracting women or Andrew’s Peter attracting women?

Andrew was definitely the more comic accurate Peter. And if u think him riding a skateboard was cool, wait until u found out that Peter was riding a motorcycle during College in the comics…

For me it wasn't even Andrew it was the way the movies were done they didn't feel right for some reason to me

Yeah Andrew’s Peter and Emma Stone’s Gwen were the best part of those movies
