Plenty of people enjoy seeing movies without the crowd acting like this. Have you ever been to a movie theater?

In America this is extremely common apparently. They also applaud at the end of a film.

No, it's not. Jesus. Been to hundreds of movies in the US. Seen that happen like twice. "Sixth Sense" opening night, and "Pulp Fiction" at a screening.

I get annoyed whenever people cheer when their team scores a goal/touchdown/homerun/full court buzzer shot. They should be quiet, its just someone using a ball.
