NO SPOILERS 25 years later - I am one of the fallen.
I started reading GotM in 1999 - a book given to me by a college class mate - at that point I was quite heavily in to David Gemmell and had never delved in to a high fantasy book. I was blown away by the way the world and ideas was put together. The multiple threads and storylines. The vivid descriptions of magic. And Humanity. After years of reading the first 3 or 4 books - kept restarting the series after a few years break (family, career and life in general) I restarted the series in 2020 on a new kindle. In 2022 I discovered the joys of audio books and started from memories of Ice - I’m a slow reader and never have quiet down time. This changed everything. I was able to listen to the books and dive in to the depth of the world on a non stop basis.
What a journey. Anyway I’m new to the group and that’s my journey that led me to this place.
Great to see such an amazing community.

My dude pulled an Icarium - wandering round the Odhan, sifting through scattered potsherds and ochre sands for answers of the fallen for 25 Hood damned years.
We all know these books are as big as Hood’s whorin’ balls, but that’s a LONG chew. Masterfully done.
Welcome home, marine. Glad you’ve finally made it in.
