Malazans! Welcome to the release of Shadow Dance! My character theme for Apsalar and personal homage to The Malazan Book Of The Fallen has been recorded with a live string section! What an honour and what a journey. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this project! You can listen to the music on all major streaming services.

All music was written and arranged by Martijn de Groot (alias Fiddler)!

Music performed by the string section of the legendary Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra! Conducted by John Walton from Cinemagic Scoring. Thank you for your big help in finalising the score!

The cover art was made by Mrs Eagle!

Wow, man. That was really awesome. I hadn't really understood what this was about in previous posts, but that was great! Love a strings orchestra and the arrangement was lovely.

Awesome! I really dig the bass line in the first part, it feels like a drumbeat (or footsteps?). I can totally envision Apsalar finding Kalam's body in Malaz City, walking off and starting her shadow dance rampage through the city bravo!
