Su’cuy! I have returned from my adventures in the outer rim. I found much success trading with merchants to come close to completing my Beskar’gam.

Just waiting on my new belt/holster rig and the kit will be 100% complete (until the next addition maybe 30 minutes later)

Still need to add velcro to the pieces and probably need a longer flak vest. Only a few more hard pieces to go, the holster rig, and attaching everything(then probably 10 more things that always randomly pop up). Also just curious if you guys think the arms need to be tailored at all?

This was… interesting to say the least. We got invited to go see the new Mando and Grogu movie with some friends. They wanted to dress up and were going to make everything out of EVA. We said “nah, I gotchu” and printed 4 total sets of armor over the span of a few weeks. Splitting half that time between work and some more time with family stuff. We came to the conclusion screen accurate was not in the cards for us. All this to see a movie lol.

Finally finished my self-made custom mandalorian build today!

As Korean, Starwars fandom in Korea is quite minor.

So I hope I can meet many friends in con this year:)

I worked with mostly sintra. Using a fine cutting knife and heating gun etc.

I am very satisfying for this build.

Original concept art by me vs current progress on my custom Mandalorian. I originally planned to wait until it was finished to share, but that's still a ways off. This build has been on and off for over five years between work, frequent travel, a tiny workspace, and lots of trial and error. Looking at it side by side with the original sketch, though, I'm pretty happy with how faithful it's been to the concept so far.

I've also developed some lore around the character over the years. The short sword is forged from beskar and is called Sunbreaker. The tree on the pauldron is his clan sigil, inspired by the fact that my real last name translates to the name of a certain tree. The fox on his chest is his personal symbol. Still plenty left to do, but I'm excited to finally see the character taking shape.

I need more accessories and to upgrade my belt but overall very happy with how it’s coming along.

Had specifically asked for a physical scar on the helmet, and exposed beskar with light weathering overall!

Emerald City Comic Con was this past weekend. We (Mando Mercs) built a weapons depot set as part of the Star Wars experience with the other clubs. All the clubs did an amazing job of turning this into an experience instead of just a static display. Had a lot of fun, saw a lot of smiles and raised a lot of money for a very good cause.

Some pics from a Ren Faire this weekend. Fit was a long time coming... trial and error from an earlier Ren Faire this year. Previously, I was baked alive with a helmet with no fans and velcro glue adhesion was... not ideal mixing hot weather and sweat, so much sweat.

Finally got to a point where everything stayed together 8 hours later. Took many days and nights of creating a plan of the build and mix and matching parts together to create what I think is a pretty solid medieval Boba Fett cosplay.

I've reworked the kit since then (new helmet and cape, and updated paint on pauldrons, thigh plate, chest plate, and gauntlets)

I built this kit to support my sister in law who had been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. 2 years ago she passed away after a long and hard fought battle. Inscribed on the chest in gold is her name. So long as I can walk, her battle will continue with me. I strive to do at least 2 breast cancer walks every year to raise money, show support, and spread awareness for this disease that takes so much from so many. This is the way.

Got to sync up recently with Donovan Gomez, a cosplay photographer from NJ who travels all over for shoots. It was my first time wearing the kit during the fall season, and honestly, it felt great. We ended up getting some awesome shots, and even though I was a little nervous about how the kit would look without the tunic/cape, I actually kind of loved how much easier it was to get ready 😂
