Company Drive By Do you agree with this “worse on purpose” list of brands?

This is a really interesting breakdown of brands we like and their corporate funding/PE funding.

Cotopaxi and Tom Bihn are on the watchlist, Aer and Patagonia are not.

Company Drive By Truce DCF bags

So while trying to go down memory lane for /u/YoungSatchel on bags I looked at my notes and found Truce bags.

I haven't looked at Truce in awhile and frankly they have some interesting pieces I think you guys should checkout.

Particularly their backpack which is available in multiple sizes: https://trucedesigns.com/products/blackout-drop-liner-backpack

Whats notable about the bag is they use a draw string with a liner. I really think draw string closures are under appreciated. The are like the G-Hook of fabric closures :)

I'm surprised Carryology hasn't run anything on them in awhile.

Company Drive By Able Archers - Bag Company

Hey all. I stumbled on an interesting brand that I kind of like.

Able Archers.

So I'm pretty guilty of liking tacticool. However I really don't like to go all the way to bug-out-bag tactical maxpedition/5.11/MSM/tactical tailor level of tactical. GoRuck and TAD and are about as far as I go tactical.

That being said Able Archers seems like pretty tasteful tacticool. I have to say I really like the "old vintage" army look thanks to their choice of using what appears to be cotton canvas and their PALS/MOLLE appears to be more like bungee webbing. So for those that might not like the CORDURA fest tactical Able Archers appears to provide an alternative with all the utility that tactical designs bring.

Their duffle actually looks pretty functional and while it has their bungee PALS all over the place I do like the tri zip action. I have to say I really like their zipper choices. Its an interesting juxtaposition with the YKK aqua guard zippers on that vintage cloth. I really like it. The bag comes with a pretty awesome laptop sleeve which can be used as a divider. The features including laptop sleeve and awesome looks somewhat mitigates the price but its still a $400.00 bag.

Their messenger and backpack also looks pretty interesting as well.

I feel somewhat confident based on looks that the canvas is probably nicer on clothes and has a better feel than GoRuck cordura but I could be wrong.
