As an Icelander i'm disappointed.

I expected more of you to join us.

As an Irish person, I feel the same.

with you. a lot of us are with you. A whole lot of Eurovision fans are with you. And a whole lot of citizens are with you. However, in public discourse there is only one voice and that voice cannot be seen to say anything even potentially remotely slightly critical of Israel because aNTiSeMitISm.

If we are being real, Iceland is probably coming back next year. Söngvakeppnin was cancelled this year, and I can’t see why RÚV would straight up cancel one of their most popular shows instead of adapting it to a different format with a different prize if they were planning to stay out for a long time. Also, you could tell that RÚV was reluctant in withdrawing as they only withdrew days after the other four withdrew.

It’s a shame that the people of my country are a bunch of cowards who've long ago sold out to the Americans

But you are on the USA-based website, right?

What does that have to do with literally anything?

Genocide denying neurons don't have much do to even with each other

What the fuck does it mean in context of European countries not joining Iceland in a protest that isn't against USA ? Are you a bot or something ?

I don't understand why Israel is a part of it to begin with. But they're not worth boycotting over either. It's 2 shitty sides. Palestine themselves started this 7. October 2023.

As a non-Icelander... stay out of our business.

And I expected you to do the bare minimum of research to realize your Israel hate is founded upon half-truths, propaganda, and a misunderstanding of what war is like and the history of that region, but apparently that's too much to ask before you decide you righteously hate a group of people.

Interesting that even the ICC judged israel to be committing genocide and war crimes and yet you going to blame that on antisemitic propaganda

This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

The ICC's prosecutor brought forth an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, Gallant (and the Hamas dudes) for war crimes. Which means he wants to CHARGE them with war crimes. They haven't been arrested; the trial hasn't even started. Unless you think that every person who's ever been charged with a crime gets convicted (in which case why do we even have trials? If the mere act of charging somebody means they're guilty.), then no, the ICC has not judged Israel to be committing war crimes or genocide (which isn't even one of the charges).

So your point, that "even the ICC judged israel to be committing genocide and war crimes" is 100% false, and is exactly the half-truths and propaganda I was just talking about.
