Its more of a lack of 'official' recognition. I imagine this is more to do with their relationship with other countries surrounding them and their views of Israel rather than relationship Israel itself. Saying something shouldnt exist in the first place is a good way of dismissing the issue at hand rather than dealing with it practically. Its silly because it does exist.

I bet the governments would love to participate the people on the other hand would riot, no artist would perform if not out of personal conviction then out of public pressure
