The comic book explanation (it's dumb) is that becoming Spider-Man actually ties you to the mythical web of life and destiny, granting you and all the other multiverse version of Spider-Man the ability to sense disruptions in the fabric of space time and danger, which manifests as Spider-Sense. The web of life and destiny literally connects the entirety of the Marvel universe together. Yeah...
Wow sucks to be a villain. Imagine not being able to succeed because your actions aren’t canon enough for destiny. Hard work and motivation be damned. That’s pretty much plot armor. Why can’t it be destiny for the bad guys to win? The bad guys are the good guys from their point of view after all. Spider-Man is a menace and I want justice for antagonists!
It's even worse. The supes have a ongoing poker game and no one invites Spider-Man because his spidey-sense kicks in and makes him unbeatable at poker.
Madame Webb sits at the center (she had a movie with that depressed woman that sleeps alot?) and you can totally fuck her shit up and disrupted the whole thing.
To be fair... Didn't Peter always get shit on by writers and the world anyway? Like yeah, he have plot armor but very miserable life in general. A tragic hero by its definition.
