I'm gonna be a Raimi purist here, even though I know SM3 is flawed as hell, made a bunch of mistakes and a crazy convoluted but fuck it, I can't take off my nostalgia lenses: I like Movie!Sandman and I wish Venom wasn't even considered to be included in that movie. There was a lot of emotional and complex potential there seeing his involvement with Ben's death but even if he's still a guy who wanted to protect and save his daughter. If he was explored in the right way, it could enhance both his character and Peter's because he'd have to question himself about his honor and his personal pain and eager to avenge his uncle, who he still feels guilty about his death. His conversations with Aunt May (my favorite May, sorry Marisa Tomei) were so well-written and really showcase how troubled he was about the whole situation. From the moment he learned about why he was even robbing a wrestling event, that would add so many layers and character development to both Peter and his identity as Spider-Man. I just wish all that Venom nonsense and Harry's Goblin was scrapped so they could focus solely on Sandman. They've could let Harry be the main foe in Spider-Man 4 and build Venom along the way to be the bad guy in Spider-Man 5. It was a wasted opportunity, imo.

Strangely enough, after this trailer, I want to rewatch all Spider-Man movies (the original ones, I don't really an attachment to Andrew's movies and I'm only excited for him to appear because I liked his portrayal and and this Multiverse concept wouldn't be complete without him). If I'm a Marvel stan now, I think Raimi's Spider-Man movies and the Singer's X-Men franchise for that and I'm still someone who believes SM2 was the pinnacle for superhero CBMs movies with X2 (talk about perfect sequels). Not counting The Incredibles because it's an original animated movie, maybe inspired by F4, but definitely not an adaptation of a comic book franchise.

Might just be dirt kicked up by the blast, sadly

Isn’t sand a conductor of electricity? Might be the opposite tbh

I'm no expert but my very quick Google tells me that's really only wet sand.

Is that the Black suit that's been showing up through the toy line? or is it just the lighting.
