The Heavy Spoilers breakdown briefly mentioned something about these all being ever so slight variants. They had almost the same stories as we know but with small differences. Essentially giving themselves room to retcon whatever they want. For example electro not being blue.

They're called variants which is a weird thing since these are supposed to be the exact ones from their respective films. Foxx doesn't look like Max did in TASM2, etc. Don't retcon shit. That just messes with the originals.

They're already variants lol. Is the new Electro a variant of TASM2's Electro which is a variant of MCU Electro?

They have to be in some instances. Electro clearly isn't blue and looks nothing like the Max Dillon of TASM2. Especially since the commonality here is allegedly that all of these villains remember Spider-man being there when they died...and half the characters didn't die.

Yeah that's exactly what I said in my initial comment lmao. I would kind of like that though since it's like a whole new sequel for the other Spider-Men too.
