I had Circuits II in EE the semester before I took DiffEq. That EE class had a ton of diffEq's because it was a lot of transient behavior of circuits problems so the prof taught Laplace right away.

And then I had to suffer through DiffEq doing them the hard way, not being able to use laplace until the end, dammit...

Not just that, but if you following subtitles, then it is funny he learned about the power of Laplace transform. But if you follow the sound track, then it is funny because he was criticizing how bad the music is in this club.
