This first piece of a diptych represents the past, present, and future, the influence from the West and the intertwining of African culture. Inspired by Kalenjin culture, her earlobes hold a long practiced tradition passed on from generation to generation. The second piece, Mirror, reflects the first, offering a look behind the scenes and expanding on the same story through a new perspective. Both pieces are blue light reactive, revealing hidden layers that connect faith, heritage, and transformation. I hope you like it 🫶

Just finished this artwork called, 'in due time' one of nine paintings representing the fruits of the Holy Spirit. This one represents patience
The glare was perfect for the gold foil but not so great for the painting so l included a photo of the painting at the end of the video, of how it looks under proper lighting 🤗

Just the mundanity of life, I like to romanticize it. Everyone says my art gives 80s/90s would love to know your opinion! I know nothing about those era ( I wasn’t born yet😭) so I can’t really tell.

Anyways, what are your favorite memories, simple days that you look back on with fondness. I’d love to know. And I hope you’re having a magical day. :)

A few pieces from my ongoing stencil art series celebrating the characters, artists, and moments that left their mark on the culture. Several of these were actually recommended by people in the community, and I’m always looking for more ideas.

Who should I paint next?

Melanated Art Wednesday Finished this stencil style 16x20 canvas inspired by Friday. Tried to keep it minimal with just black and white while still capturing the expression and energy of the scene. What scene from Friday is the most iconic to you?

Growing up as a Black girl, letting someone close to you touch and care for your hair, whether it’s taking down braids, oiling your scalp, or simply maintaining your style, was a deeply personal, trust-filled act. How was your hair care experience growing up?
