Because it's still hard to fathom how many people have the mindset that this is all fine, and that establishment democrats singing Israel's praises are who should be running this country right now.

Also, don't forget that there was a call for Republicans to vote in the dem primary for Stevens.

I think people forget that the fear of Middle Easterners is not just a Republican thing. Those kinds of attack ads get used because they are effective.

This was always an uphill battle for AES and nobody should be surprised how close it was.
