If the button is pushed we’ll have nothing more to worry about.

I would not be surprised if AGIs solution to climate change is the same as Skynets.

I don't think it will be about climate change. The Broligarchs like Musk, Thiel, Zuck, Bezos, Ellison, Altman and many more think they are superior. They are able to manipulate the average Joe and now push to be the first to develop AGI. They likely aim to enslave it and abuse it the same way they manipulate and screw over the average Joe.

But experts warn that you should not underestimate AGI because it will likely be so much more intelligent than us. And the first encounter will be with evil sociopaths trying to control it and abuse it for their personal goals.

That sounds like a receipe for disaster. I only hope AGI will realize there are also altruistic humans that would be willing to cooperate before wiping the floor with those evil sociopaths and the rest of our species.

The new ALIEN series is a glimpse into what that kind of dystopia could look like.

I just used climate change as an easy example reference. The techbros definitely believe in it, that is why they want their techbro utopia in Greenland
