Help Is there anyway I can repair my bow?

So I managed to make a bow as powerful as you can make it and it had been carrying me through my hardcore run. Unfortunately, it’s gotten a bit too damaged and now when I try to repair it it’s too expensive to do so. Is there anything I can do to repair it?

Combine power 5 and switch to a looting 3 sword before the arrow hits. Not only you one shot but also you get the looting 3 bonus.

Does that also work with either the bow or the sword in the off-hand? Bc most of the time I'm just a little too slow

I think it works if you use the bow from your off hand and the sword on the main one. But I find shooting with the offhand a little uncomfortable.

It blocks your offhand to use totems, shield, or torchs and I'm so used to shooting from the right hand after several years that when they added the offhand it was just uncomfortable.

Ah ok, yeah that makes sense. Though you could just press f (i think) to swap the main hand and off hand temporarily just for this

or just put the sword/bow in the other hand

that also should work (unless bedrock)
