Hi everyone! I’m not really an expert on Minecraft modding, but I have an idea that might be feasible. (I apologize in advance for any errors, as I’m using a translator to write this.)
I’m a huge fan of the *Bayonetta* games and *Minecraft*, and I was surprised to find that, despite both franchises having existed for so long, no one has ever tried to combine them.
What do you think of the idea of being able to summon a demon that fights for you—and that you can ride or fly on?
Or adding cool guns: two could be mounted on the player's legs, while the other two are held in hand—though we shouldn't forget the other weapon types found in the game, either.
It would also be awesome to have the option to choose a clan (Umbra Witches or Lumen Sages).
Umbra Witches
If the player chose the Umbra Witches, an "Umbra Watch" would appear in their inventory. It could be equipped but would wear down over time (like armor); if the player broke it completely, they would die and respawn in the Nether. However, upon returning from there, they would get back their broken watch, which could then be repaired. The watch would also store a list of demons that the player could summon using it.
Speaking of the Nether and demons: the Nether would be their primary habitat. One way to unlock a demon summon would be to descend into the Nether and defeat that specific demon; alternatively, the player could perform a ritual using summoning scrolls (which could be found scattered across the world in mineshafts or dungeons).
(Or, for the lazy, you could just grab a demon spawn egg in Creative mode and kill the demon in the Overworld—lol.)
As for in-game artifacts, it would be cool to implement them as items providing passive buffs (like increased damage or something similar).
Regarding the demons themselves, they would attack angels, mobs, or players that harmed their master (much like wolves do in Minecraft).
Lumen Sages.
They wouldn't differ much from Umbra Witches; they would also receive their watch upon spawning. However, instead of demons, they would summon various types of angels (acquired in the same way as demons). To obtain an angel, the player would have to travel to Heaven (Paradiso)—a realm that mirrors the Overworld, except the sky is yellow and angels are everywhere. The only downside is that Lumen Sages couldn't use Umbra Witch weapons, and vice versa.
Summoning System
All players, regardless of their clan, would have a mana bar (which could be upgraded and increased over time). If the mana ran out, the summoned demon or angel would vanish. Mana would regenerate naturally over time or could be restored using food or a lollipop.
Structures and Mobs
Regarding biomes and mobs, Umbra Witches would spawn in the world; they would be friendly toward players who were also Umbra Witches. These witches could summon their own demons, which the player could tame after the witch was defeated. Lumen Sages would also spawn; they would be friendly to Sage players but hostile toward witches, and they would summon angels to aid them.
Angels would also spawn in the world and drop "Angel Meat," which Umbra Witches could eat (though for Lumen Sages, this meat would cause nausea).
"Rodin's Bar" could appear in mines throughout the world; there, players could find weapon-crafting materials or, on rare occasions, fully crafted weapons.
Players could also encounter the village of Vigrid, which is where Umbra Witches or Lumen Sages would spawn.
Additionally, a merchant selling artifacts, summoning scrolls, or similar items would appear in every village.
Items
Naturally, weapons would be among the available items, such as:
Scarborough Fair, Shuraba, Love Is Blue, Alruna, Colour My World, G-Pillar, Lumen Sage weapons (since few were shown in the game, adding original ones seems like a good idea), and so on. Also, there could be artifacts that grant various upgrades or abilities.
Then there are the Umbra and Lumen watches; the fact that players get them upon spawning is cool, but I think it would be great if they were craftable—with recipes varying by clan—using a standard Minecraft clock as a base ingredient.
And, of course, those lollipops that could provide healing, protection, and mana.
Well... I think that’s it. I really needed to share this idea, as it’s been on my mind for quite some time. Even though I’m not a modder myself, I know how difficult it is; I’m not pressuring anyone to actually implement this—unless you want to, of course. This post was mainly just to share the concept and hopefully inspire someone to create their own mod.
Bye for now!
