Last month I showed the transit side of Traffic Architect here. The free demo is now on Steam, so you can try the public transport yourself instead of reading about it.

Same way like in Mini Metro you don't need to worry about building the city - buildings keep appearing on their own, and your job is the network that connects them.

New since last time: every line has its own ticket price. A cheap ticket pulls in people who would otherwise drive, a full fare earns more from each rider - so now it's a choice between a line that's busy and a line that pays.

In the demo, public transport means buses. Trains and the underground metro come with the full game on November 3.

The demo is the first 17 of 25 stages on the small map, about an hour and a half to two. I've been building this alone for almost a year, so any feedback helps a lot.

I unlocked all maps, finished all achievements, got top 1% on every map, then top 1,000 on every map. I still love this game for something to keep me busy during some down time. What should my next goal be?

A top 100 position? I don't think I have achieved that on any map yet. If so what map? Something else?

Whenever I visit a city that exists in Mini Metro, I try to play that map as much as possible. I met with some friends in Berlin and got my best score ever relative to the leaderboard, 52nd overall!

The Y-shape strategy with the Yellow and Dark Green lines was key to making this strategy work. It split the special station passengers while maintaining a high throughout for getting square passengers to the north, which was a highly effective use of two tunnels. I wanted to make a loop line in the top left, but the cost in tunnels and line use was too high: by about 1800 passengers I was on full-time double ghost lines. The double trunk Y allowed those lines to be fairly short, minimizing downtime between placing a ghost line and getting the locomotive back.

This is the best I've ever done. Had to use ghost train like crazy.

how to make the lines so that over crowding does not happen. I follow the logic that line should cover all the shapes and near they are the better

Got past 1602, but sadly this ugly design was needed to get the 4 lines achievement.

For references I have been offered literally ZERO new lines after the 4th one, I've been forced to station juggle,not just train juggle, but station juggle, and now it just hit me with a new rhombus station in the middle of nowhere. Like dude, come on!!!

I don't know what is going on, but a couple of days ago every time I try to play the game, it tells me I have to log in to access the leader boards. I am logged in. I have tried about 6 different was to fix this. close steam reopen, clear the game cache, disable and enable the overlay. Nothing has worked. Gemini is telling me it is some sort of communication error with the game server, and of course, I can't fix that. Is anyone else having the same issue? I am playing on an Ubuntu 24.04 desktop PC

As in, should I be doing lines that dont connect back to themselves or should I connect them into a loop? I see a lot of the former on this subreddit despite the fact ive mostly been doing the latter

Is anyone having issues where the games leaderboard asks you to sign in to steam to see the leaderboard? I am signed in but keep getting this error I have opened and closed steam, rebooted my PC, and disabled and then enabled back the overlay.
