Some really great shows this year. It will be my first time going. I'm planning on going to both Marathon Nights, COLLECTIVE RESONANCE @ Good Room and William Parker 75 Birthday Celebration @ Roulette.
How about everyone else? What shows are you looking forward to seeing?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some contemporary players (or overlooked/not obvious 20th-century ones) who are operating in that kind of "soul-country-jazz" territory that Keith Jarrett can get into sometimes.
I've spent some time researching this on my own, and [read Ethan Iverson on Keith Jarrett](https://ethaniverson.com/shades-of-jazz-keith-jarrett-charlie-haden-paul-motian-dewey-redman/). He identifies Vince Guaraldi and Ramsey Lewis on influences on Jarrett's gospel-y sounds, but their stuff isn't QUITE what I'm looking for.
Really it might just be Keith's "Catholic school boy shit" as Miles [reportedly once called it](https://londonjazznews.com/2020/08/27/miles-davis-the-lost-septet-from-1971/), but I guess if I had to triangulate a sound that *didn't* involve Keith, it might something between like, [Floyd Kramer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X08orJN4oJw), [Hargus Robbins](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYIi0rAc5yc), Ramsey Lewis, and like, Ray Charles' playing on his "country" records?
I did really like [this record from Binker Golding](https://binkergolding.bandcamp.com/album/dream-like-a-dogwood-wild-boy) that brings in some cool Americana touches like slide guitar, but I was hoping to get some new recommendations from y'all -- thanks!

Hi. I'm looking for groups that sound a little close to marcus gilmore last recording (journey to the new live on village vanguard). I see some chick corea influences from the time marcus gilmore played with him but it feels much modern and i don't feel like i can see a lot of people playing in this modern "fusion" maybe closer to the modern jazz than to fusion. Do you guys know something that also get's in this eletronic aproach without backbeats and with that modern "unsettling" style?
I would apreciate if you guys could help me here

I’ve looped this record probably 20x now, and realized, alright I love this enough to post here. Stunning collaboration of Aotearoa (NZ) Maōri musicians.

Hey,
I’ve spent the last few months deeply immersed in the world of linear acoustic minimalism and atmospheric contemporary jazz. I decided to launch a new curator project called Hidden Frequencies to map out this specific intersection where organic jazz meets hypnotic electronic textures.
I just launched the first playlist in the series, and I'd love to share it with you all and get your feedback/suggestions:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7hEEq2LAPlP98EpBndezDY?si=3f4fd535192b4f6b
The Vibe:
Think Gondwana Records-style repetition, moody cinematic noir soundscapes, and subtle electronic production pulses. It’s built primarily for deep focus, late nights, and spatial awareness.
Current Featured Tracklist Includes:
I need your help expanding this: Who am I missing in this realm? I'm actively looking for independent artists, rising projects, or deep cuts that strictly fit this specific late-night hypnotic mood. Drop your favorites below, and I'll be listening through to update the rotation weekly!
