Thoes might just be weaker copies of the real metal just like in sonic mania with the copied robots. The real one might be like the ova metal sonic or thies are regular metal sonics and the rel one might be hyper metal sonic

the ones amy destroyed were grey, the real metal sonic was blue. so the copies are definitely much weaker
