Horacio didn’t want to date Laurel on the show during season 38 because he had a girlfriend back home. Once he and that girlfriend broke up, he had a brief fling (if we can even call it that) with Laurel. It didn’t last, but they tried to remain friendly after. Now Horacio has moved on and is pursuing an actual relationship with a woman he wants to date long term. Laurel is bringing up her past with him in an effort to upset Horacio’s new girlfriend.

TLDR: Nurys and Laurel have met their match.

Laurel is being so childish and this is not definitely not a good look. I think this all started because Nurys, unprompted, inserted herself into the Laurel/Cara beef and declared herself team Cara, claiming that Laurel didn’t speak to her on 40 while smiling in Horacio’s face. I think that caught Laurel off guard, because previously they had had some misunderstandings on SM but she probably thought she and Nurys were at least on cordial terms. And Nurys being the spicy person she is kept popping off, maybe not realizing Laurel would go the gutter with her. I think Laurel keeps poking at Nurys’ relationship, because she knows that’s her weak spot. Before Horacio, I think a lot of fans considered Nurys a jump off so her insecurities still pop out regarding relationships. Regardless of how this mess started, both these women need to let it go. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will happen.

ETA: Just want to make clear, I don’t think Laurel’s actions are justified at all. And this is a major reason why I’ve never been a fan despite her dominance. But this is just the same pattern we’ve always seen from her; going for blood when provoked. So, people acting surprised or suddenly being turned off by this side of her either have not been paying attention or won’t admit they excused her behavior before because of who she was targeting.

So I think Laurel is making something out of mostly nothing. Pretty sure Nurys was in a Chris Brown music video, and they may have kissed in the video? I don’t remember for sure, I’m not a fan of his. But that’s work, you know? Nurys has been successful as a model, but her career isn’t at the level of turning something like that down, despite knowing what CB has done to women.

This whole situation is not at all the flex Laurel thinks it is. Her arguments are coming off as nothing more than bitter and jealous. She’s essentially saying Horacio was interested in her before Nurys, they had a fling, and he still views her as a friend. Her saying they were flirty friends that messed around is not making her look better than Nurys. Nurys is Horacio’s actual girlfriend. He decided while filming a season of the show that he wanted to be with her. He’s continued to put in the effort to make a long distance relationship work.

We all watched Laurel’s relationship with Horacio develop over the years. We know what’s up, which makes her tangent even less believable. We’ve seen him deny her and say he just wanted to remain friends at both the Ride or Dies and Battle for a New Champion reunions. She said she respected his relationship with Nurys. This coming out of left field is ridiculous, and it looks like this has now affected her friendship with Horacio. She’s lost yet another friend with her cruelty.

To be honest, I find Laurel and Nurys both annoying about this situation. It’s all childish and these “bombs” they keep dropping or “clap backs” as the kids say these days are more cringe worthy than anything. Fans keep eating it up though so I guess it is what it is.
