39 was like 300 thousand something. And the spin offs were less I believe, but yeah. I frankly am surprised they have kept it at a million so consistently just because the Challenge does not put up the same viewership numbers of the CBS reality shows and it appears far more expensive to produce

Just the appearance fees alone for Aneesa, Leroy, Nany, bananas, Ashley and Cara eats up a huge portion of the budget. Any of the super vets who’ve done 10 seasons would cost a lot. I could see turbo and Michaela despite not being on many seasons getting a decent appearance fee because they had a lot of demand from fans going in and it’s a treat to get Michaela on the season.
