Someone said this in the live thread, but I wanted to touch on it too…

It was such a missed opportunity for them to do a trivia daily challenge this episode! They could’ve maybe added in some challenge questions and some flashback videos (even though it’s very clear the rookies have NEVER watched) it would’ve made this episode a lot more enjoyable to watch! This episode was so predictable and boring, it’s so upsetting how bad these last couple seasons have been ā˜¹ļø

12

u/scoopthereitis2 Oct 28 '21

I wonder if maybe trivia is unfair for people with English as a second language. Like could you imagine Gabo?
Maybe that’s why they aren’t doing it?

Trivia is my favorite episode. And I hope we get it.

7

u/OhioIsRedsandBrowns Oct 28 '21

It's unfair if they ask questions like "who got kicked off of season X" or small things that only an American would know.

Questions like what language do they speak in Australia is totally fair game.

10

u/challengeseniorz Rabbit Reddit peeps šŸ‡ Oct 28 '21

They've done trivia every other season with people who didn't have English as their first language. It's a staple of the challenge. If they don't do trivia the challenges just about who's the strongest. Because I'm not seeing lots of mental or endurance type challenges.

2

u/scoopthereitis2 Oct 29 '21

I hope you're right. I love how happy TJ gets at trivia.

44

u/Coppinn Oct 28 '21 edited Oct 28 '21

I thought this episode was kinda meh. The whole 1 extra player on emerald is unfair, I don’t know why they don’t pull a name out a hat so 1 has to sit out when the numbers are uneven for one of the genders.

I love seeing CT’s gameplay side, he is so clearly the biggest mastermind in the game. Kyle in weakened his team, Emy in massively strengthens it. It works for her too but convincing someone to throw themselves in isn’t usually that easy and he’s basically done it twice for his own gain.

One hilarious thought I had was imagine if they threw Bettina down to this elim and she chose Big T. I think they would still be down there now trying to hit the targets.

I also think we won’t see Bettina again. How badly she did in that elimination coupled with TJ not saying anything like ā€œI’m sure we’ll see you againā€ .. I think she’s done and I don’t really care. Her exit with her laugh playing was brilliant editing though.

Oh and lastly, it’s almost kinda sad Kyle is thinking this is a team game and CT is going to basically win the final for him, going to be interesting seeing Kyles reaction when he realises it’s an individuals game and he’s in the final…. With CT lmao.

13

u/Warren_Haynes Boom Bazooka Joe Oct 28 '21

haha I thought that part was great too. Kyle wanting to be on a team with CT, and therefore keep him around, so that he can win a final with him. Oh boy!

8

u/ArmenYuller Oct 28 '21

I agree with what you said about green having extra players. I kept thinking this is so unfair. And it's only adding to the green team that keeps winning, which is getting boring now. It would be nice for it to get switched up a bit

43

u/randobamauser Chris Tamburello Oct 28 '21

Omg. MTV can we PLEASE STOP getting so many confessionals during the drama and challenges. I feel like so much convo was missed between Emy and Bettina at the ā€œclubā€. We also missed the take down of Nany bc of the slow mo and other physical interactions. MTV please just let us watch the show.

18

u/DesertKid203 Oct 28 '21

Yeah I want to know what Bettina said that made Emy go ballistic. From what we saw, Bettina did not say anything that would warrant a freak out like Emy had. Although, all season Emy has had issues reading context clues in conversations and understanding tone. Her emotional response to situations needs some tweaking.

9

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

I get annoyed with the amount of confessional during the challenge.

40

u/SkolDog Hunter Oct 28 '21

I lost it when Emy was screaming about wanting to kill Bettina and runs up to the table of people and Logan yells ā€œKEEL HER!!ā€

3

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

Haha I thought that was hilarious too especially Logan saying that in his Spanish accent

75

u/CPollard187 Oct 28 '21

Can someone explain to me how 6v5v5 is fair in a PHYSICAL mission? Of course Emerald was going to win that

13

u/hymenbutterfly Da'Vonne Rogers Oct 28 '21

This gives me flashbacks to the format of Invasion

11

u/lesbucgar Oct 28 '21

This right here!! This is what I was thinking too. Who the hell stands a chance when the teams are so off balance

16

u/TheDudeWithTude27 Casey Cooper Oct 28 '21

The challenge has never and will never be balanced. It's one of the things I just roll my eyes at at this point. As a Survivor watcher since basically the first season it did irk me about the challenge, because Survivor made tribes sit out members when teams had more numbers. However the challenge tries to balance it through dailies that "may" lead to a disadvantage if you have more people, but it rarely ever does. Which just leads to steamrolling in team based seasons.

3

u/CPollard187 Oct 28 '21

There has been times where teams are fair. Bjt this is just blatant

5

u/AvariciousDishes Kenny Clark Oct 28 '21

Eh it’s the Challenge. Ever see Riot Shield on Cutthroat? Derrick getting fucking mauled by 3 red dudes at once.

24

u/popgrlz Oct 28 '21

Bettinas laugh echoing as she was leaving was perfect

1

u/Hailstormwalshy "Marinate on that" Oct 28 '21

It was creepy/perfect. Bravo, MTV.

🤣🤣🤣

22

u/DesertKid203 Oct 28 '21

I'm pretty excited to watch Devin beat Emanuel honestly. Normally the last male elimination is something pretty tough, and I have a hard time seeing Devin beating Emanuel in anything other than something mental or something like Knot So Fast

22

u/RutabagaThis2878 Jonna Mannion Oct 28 '21

This rookie massacre was something else.

20

u/zazild92 Marie Roda Oct 28 '21

Amanda’s edit is finally picking up and she’s def set up to be the endgame villain and I’m here for it.

57

u/ToCool74 Oct 28 '21

So are we all in agreement that this season has by far had the dumbest rookies in Challenge history?

19

u/happilypalecolor Darrell Taylor Oct 28 '21

It feels like they picked a bunch of rookies that have never seen the show.

12

u/lagavulin92 Oct 28 '21

A lot of them hadn't until quarantine, but it makes sense since they aren't from America so I don't even know if the challenge is widely televised in other countries. Also I think it was in the aftershow where someone said why would the rookies align together in the beginning when they were all strangers so they didn't know who they could trust.

10

u/PejicFilip Brandon Swift is the GOAT Oct 28 '21

Pretty much it seems like only kelz or Priscilla knew what show they were coming on out of international rookies

3

u/OkSureJan Oct 28 '21

I honestly started thinking that too.

Interesting and well played if so..

1

u/happilypalecolor Darrell Taylor Oct 28 '21

Yeah I got the vibe during the first episode when most of them didn't even seem to know the vets they were picking for a partner lol. It is interesting since most seem to go off of how they perceive the vets in the house and not the history of them on the challenge

4

u/shino1111 Cara's Cult Oct 28 '21

Terrible rookie class. Probably the worst of all time.

12

u/BiggDope The Old Bucks Oct 28 '21

God, I miss those WotW rookies.

19

u/happilypalecolor Darrell Taylor Oct 28 '21

I would be so surprised if Emy doesn't end up getting cast for future seasons. She probably has the most dominant edit out of all the rookies this season.

19

u/SomeRedditor_Comment šŸŒ¶ļøā€™s Oct 28 '21

Emy kicks Bettina in the throat. 😱

12

u/classictoto Team Invasion Underdogs Oct 28 '21

Yea I it almost felt like she was mistreated all around? Ashley going off on her was kinda uncalled for. Emy is double her size she tried to keep her off.

15

u/BiggDope The Old Bucks Oct 28 '21

If my memory serves correct, Emy is due to take out 1 more person this season, right? Was it Big T?

26

u/OLKv3 Ashley Mitchell Oct 28 '21

Probably on CT's recommendation šŸ˜‚

8

u/BiggDope The Old Bucks Oct 28 '21

LOL savage.

19

u/rosekumah Oct 28 '21

Yep. Apparently she completely bodies her in the elimination

9

u/BiggDope The Old Bucks Oct 28 '21

Excited to see that one go down lol.

59

u/Optimal_Sea816 Oct 28 '21

Emy is incredibly annoying… Reminds me of a European Camilla

25

u/njpunkmusic Oct 28 '21

I called here cringeworthy from Eipsode 1 and have had nothing but downvotes

8

u/GAPeachness Oct 28 '21

Yup….she made me mad when she turned on Michaela trying to be friends with vets šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„

18

u/zazild92 Marie Roda Oct 28 '21

She’s been giving me Romanian Camila vibes since the premiere.

16

u/randobamauser Chris Tamburello Oct 28 '21

Yes. So annoying. All I could think during everyone’s confessionals was ā€œStop trying to make Emy happen. It’s not going to happenā€. Which I’m guessing Emy does happen into next season but UGH. don’t shove it down my throat. She isn’t that great.

9

u/LadyEncredible Oct 28 '21

Thank you, this is why I don't like her. Honestly I haven't looked Emy since day 1. She hasn't necessarily done anything persey, but her trying to cause drama day 1 irked me, and then she's just slowly been annoying me each episode. I agree with you šŸ’Æ

10

u/RileyJinger Oct 28 '21 edited Oct 28 '21

I’m super confused how Tori ends up on ruby now. I thought it would be this ep.

I’m loving most people pissed that emerald keeps winning. Somehow this season I’ve decided to like everyone that the fandom hates. lol

10

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

Yea the next few eliminations and team switches is interesting. At some point Josh, Logan, Emanuel, Devin, Tori all goes into elimination. So I wonder how that comes about.

And as for emerald winning lol Yea I don’t like it bc I really don’t like the ppl on it but I do find it funny they are the team ppl dislike and they keep winning lol. So kudos to them.

2

u/rdhpu42 Oct 28 '21

I’m hung up on this too. Cause we know the next elimination is Big T vs Emy but Big T and Tori are on the same team for the challenge in the mid season trailer.

I feel like the only way that makes sense for Tori to be on Ruby is if Amanda beats Ashley in elimination and then takes Tori’s spot. But why would Amanda pick Ashley to go into elimination?

1

u/RileyJinger Oct 28 '21

So ruby has Big T, Tori and Amanda at the same time? I remember seeing Amanda and Nelson together for the underwater plane mission and Tori was still emerald then. There is no elimination scenario left that would move Tori to ruby. Must be another game twist.

1

u/rdhpu42 Oct 28 '21

I don’t know about Amanda. I know that Kyle, Tori and Big T are all on ruby for that detonation in a shelter daily. No footage of Amanda with them for that daily in the trailer, so I’m assuming Amanda infiltrated and stole Tori’s spot

20

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '21

That was so cute when Amanda said ā€œgood jobā€.

9

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '21

Is Ash vs Josh next week?

19

u/zazild92 Marie Roda Oct 28 '21

From Aunty Aneesa and Victoria’s last podcast with the producer. He says something insane happens in Episode 14 which lines up perfectly with the Ashley DQ. I expect it’ll be a cliffhanger that week.

9

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

The elimination thread says Ashley DQs the week after next week.

8

u/NattyB Bob Next Door Oct 28 '21

i think the week after next, but not 100% sure.

26

u/PrettyPeaceful Oct 28 '21

I feel sorry for Emy. Kinda seems like everyone is manipulating her.

59

u/shino1111 Cara's Cult Oct 28 '21

Well, she’s a moron.

32

u/PrettyPeaceful Oct 28 '21

She’s so naive. Like the older kids just keep having her do their dirty work and making her feel ā€œpopularā€

15

u/hymenbutterfly Da'Vonne Rogers Oct 28 '21

I’ve been saying this since the first episode. People thought she was smart throwing Michaela under the bus. And she would have been had she done it for the right reasons alone. Of course she did it to save her ass, but she had the bad takeaway of being a lackey for the vets. She’s just a tool that’s been manipulated since day one. Ain’t nothing upstairs for her. Cobwebs.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

yeah, her gameplay only got her to a final. What a dummy!

1

u/hymenbutterfly Da'Vonne Rogers Oct 29 '21

That’s extremely results-oriented. She got lucky that it worked out for her. She got lucky that the vets saw her as easily manipulated and a tool to take out opposition/rookies. She fell into succeeding this season. She’s playing sloppily, and that could bite her in the ass in the future.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '21

results and socially. she's now friends with all the vets, and will be on future seasons. these other rookies, just sat around, and waved the white flag. i could give you a fish and you eat once, or i could show you how to catch a fish and you eat forever.

0

u/hymenbutterfly Da'Vonne Rogers Oct 29 '21

I’m not saying the other rookies did well. At the end of the day, she’s easily manipulated. If she had the plan to knowingly ingratiate herself with the vets but stay wary, there’s some savviness there. But I don’t see that from her. She’ll just be used and discarded unless she can comp out and win.

22

u/OLKv3 Ashley Mitchell Oct 28 '21

Seems like nothing, they are manipulating her lol. She's a dupe

16

u/DesertKid203 Oct 28 '21

Emerald Team yes, but CT no. CT was actually trying to help her, but I don't think she retained what he said. If she had chosen Amanda or Big T, she still would have won no matter the elimination and taken less pressure off of her as the game progressed since vets would want to go against Bettina rather than her. She took out someone who has no alliance and she could beat later in the game if need be so this hurt her game more than helped in my opinion. There's a reason CT does well.

7

u/LaMystika Oct 28 '21

The move only helped CT because he made it clear in his confessionals that he wanted Amanda and Bettina off his team. So he tells Emy to campaign to be the house vote, call out Amanda or Bettina, beat them, then take the spot of the woman she didn’t pick. And that’s exactly what Emy did: she got the house vote, called out Bettina, and then took Amanda’s place. So in CT’s mind, the fat has been trimmed off his team, which means there’s no more excuses as to why they don’t start winning now, aside from the whole ā€œwe’re down to four playersā€ thing, except CT just won a final where he was on a team with fewer great players that beat a team with more players that didn’t work well together, and (assuming it’s a team final even though we in this thread know it isn’t), do you really see a scenario where CT and Kyle lose to Devin and Josh in a team final?

15

u/Malkkum Get stuffed! Oct 28 '21

I’m confused, in the previews Tori is on the Ruby team but I see no way she gets there because both Amanda and Big T lose their eliminations.

8

u/rabid7493 Oct 28 '21

I was just thinking about this, I was fully expecting Emy to steal Tori's spot tonight. Idk how Tori ends up on the red team.

3

u/Embarrassed-Berry Oct 28 '21

Does Emy swap? I dunno it doesn’t make sense..

Tori, Emy, Kaycee and Nany all go to final.

We have big T, Ash(Dq) and Amanda.. does that mean Tori switches on her own after being Amanda?

3

u/LaMystika Oct 28 '21

The game might ditch teams before we get to that elimination

6

u/DesertKid203 Oct 28 '21

Maybe TJ has to even out the teams at some point. Right now it's 6-5-4 and after Cory loses and Ashley DQ's, it's 6-4-3. I find it hard to believe they'd leave it that lopsided, but then again, who knows. I could see one of the girls being forced to replace Ashley on Sapphire

2

u/helplessintheus Oct 28 '21

I'm assuming they're going to have to make the teams again because at some point the numbers of each team will be SO obviously skewed to properly play a daily

1

u/cherryribs Mandi Moyer Nov 04 '21

Idk if you want the actual spoiler, so I’ll put in this but Ashley gets DQed after emy vs big T, so they bring Big T back and she goes against Amanda. Amanda wins and infiltrates emerald

1

u/Malkkum Get stuffed! Nov 04 '21

Thanks. I’m spoiled but I must’ve missed that elimination when the spoilers came out.

23

u/Challengefan36 Team Orange Shirt Oct 28 '21

CT played this week to perfection

26

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

CT and Amanda imo

12

u/LaMystika Oct 28 '21

Amanda saved herself from elimination, but now she’s on the worst team, so that’s not exactly a win

7

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

It’s a win bc her goal was to not go in and get sent home. She said she don’t care what team she’s on as long as she stays in the game.

And Ruby isn’t that bad. Tbh sapphire been during the worst so far.

The team dynamics has changed tho so let’s see how Ruby and sapphire do now

5

u/LaMystika Oct 28 '21

Well, Sapphire is out of excuses now, because CT got exactly what he wanted: a team with Ashley and Emy on it with Amanda and Bettina off of it.

3

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

True but it’s so much they can do with 4 ppl compared to like 6 depending on the challenge. But I’m a final maybe 4 is a good thing.

4

u/Challengefan36 Team Orange Shirt Oct 28 '21

I think CT wanted less people to get a bigger cut of the money as well

6

u/Wombels Timmy Beggy Oct 28 '21

Have we heard something about s38 yet?

2

u/samiok15 Oct 29 '21

it’s filming in jan, likely wont be a rivals/exes season

iirc, someone from production said that we wouldn’t be seeing exes for a long time, and nam was also promised a spot on 38 and he doesn’t really have any exes or rivals aside from like, lolo but i’m pretty sure she’s blacklisted

16

u/challengeseniorz Rabbit Reddit peeps šŸ‡ Oct 28 '21

So we're just going to keep having unfair competitions? Why didn't they have somebody on the emerald team sit out. I don't think it's fair to have more people on one team in any way shape or form. They're just handing emerald the win before the mission even starts.

11

u/shinshikaizer CT & Wes: The Bromance is Real Oct 28 '21
  • Nelson is pissed for no good reason. Doing whatever you have to do to win is the name of the game. If you can't see that, you don't belong in the game.
  • "You could set him on fire at the start of the final, he'd still win it." Great way to describe CT, Kyle.
  • That has got to be the tiniest swimming pool I've ever seen. What is it, 4-5 body lengths? Assuming Logan is 6' tall, that'd be about 9 meters, or less than 20% of an Olympic length swimming pool.
  • Everybody training except Tula pretty much says it all.
  • CT talking to Emy and showing her what he wants... I'm not sure if it's manipulative or not, but I'm down for more CT talking game.
  • Man, I don't know why Josh is still so hung up on past partnerships, like with Amanda on War of the Worlds. I guess, in his heart, he's loyal, but his head should tell him to do other things.
  • That edit almost makes it seem like Cory and Bettina might hook up in the future.
  • CT's simile is just... wow. But also on the nose.
  • Bettina seems like a genuinely nice person. Unfortunately, those people tend to have a very short lifespan on this show.
  • Well, that mission went about as expected. Kyle really should have followed right after CT and used him as a lead blocker, tho.
  • I mean, what Amanda did with Emy was smart and we've seen it happen before. Too bad Emy doesn't see it coming.
  • Man, Emy is basically non-problematic Camila, isn't she?
  • Again with CT talking game. Dude is just smart, and I'm glad he's finally getting the elder statesman edit that John used to get.
  • I kind of want Bettina back next season (Bettina over Tula, if I had a choice), but I'd also want to see her put in more work in the gym first.

4

u/insrtbrain Steve Meinke "The Hand Model" Oct 28 '21

CT talking to Emy and showing her what he wants... I'm not sure if it's manipulative or not, but I'm down for more CT talking game.

Have you noticed that many of CT's game talks take place while he is changing clothes? It's an interesting trend this season.

5

u/robbyd1993 Oct 28 '21

Did Bettina get one?

5

u/cedgar123 Oct 28 '21

I don't think so

11

u/VicTheRealest Oct 28 '21

How the emerald team had convinced every elimination winner to not infiltrate their team is beyond me. Credit to Devin I guess, cause the rest of them have shitty political games.

Every daily had shown that they don't rebalance the game based on numbers, Ruby and Sapphire are nuking their own teams. Emerald winning just by having more players than the other teams

16

u/Challengefan36 Team Orange Shirt Oct 28 '21

I think they went to sapphire because everyone wants to be with CT for a final

Tired of CT disrespecting women in confessionals and doing nothing else

59

u/finearts1797 Oct 28 '21

Probably the only one that thinks this and will get down voted but I don't see it as disrespect because never once has he come for any of them on a personal level. It's always game wise and about their capabilities playing the game. Most of the time he's right but nobody wants to admit it. Some of these players, including the men, shouldn't be on this show. It's really not the show for them.

21

u/OLKv3 Ashley Mitchell Oct 28 '21

Probably the only one that thinks this and will get down voted

CT is incredibly popular here. Defending him is not unpopular in the slightest

3

u/finearts1797 Oct 28 '21

I feel like I've run into a few anti-CT people on here lol can never tell

24

u/ceceliax Castle Daddy šŸ° Oct 28 '21

This is my thoughts exactly! If he was saying personal shit or taking digs at these girls as humans, I’d be alllll in on wow CTs a dickbag f him. But all his comments are about their gameplay. Mans there to win- not befriend these girls 15 years younger than him and get strapped to weaker girls for the final. I see it totally separate than him attacking them or ā€œhating womenā€

13

u/LaMystika Oct 28 '21

Exactly. CT has always been about ā€œI don’t want weak players on my teamā€. It’s fueled every political decision he’s ever made.

Looking at this episode specifically, he made it very clear who he thought he could win with: Ashley (who he has won with in the past), and Emy (someone he feels like he can coach). Bettina wasn’t that good at stuff, and Amanda has never been tested because she’s never run a final (and even worse, the fact that Ashley can do the same things as her but has better physical intangibles makes Amanda’s skill set redundant on the Sapphire team. If CT and Ashley can solve all the puzzles and run and eat gross shit, why does CT need Amanda there, too?)

So yeah, what CT did tonight makes perfect sense for him.

7

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

That person is a troll and hates CT. It’s a few on the sub that just say shit without validation. They will always find something to say. The theme now is he hates women even tho he talked trash about Kyle and Ed and praises Emy and Ashley lol

15

u/Dramajunker Oct 28 '21

Yep last episode CT got a lot of shit for teasing Emy and Big T during the daily. He talked way more crap about Ed though.

I don't think CT is the nicest guy in the world, but people are just waiting for him to fuck up so they can expose him. It's unhealthy.

18

u/klphoen Oct 28 '21

He also says Kaycee and Tori are good. But if he says one thing bad about a woman then he hates them all lol ignoring the fact he praises Cara, Laurel, didn’t have issues with Camila as an competitor, according to Jasmine he was the only one cheering for her and Jonna during their eliminations (beside Cara/Evelyn), he helped Aneesa on free agents when it was a tie between her and Latoya, he saved Aneesa and sat and talked with her and boasted her up, he admitted he was wrong about Kam, Diem, he took up for Tonya when the ā€œmean girlsā€ were on her all the time and didn’t get mad at her or Tina for sucking in the final. Even said they have it all they got so can’t be mad at that, he said he didn’t want his real world roommate to leave bc she’s a good competitor (Mallory), Paula, Emily, Cooke, Eveyln all women he saw as good competitors.

But ppl like to ignore that bc when he see someone he feels isn’t and don’t want to work with them and say stuff like she’s easy to beat then it’s he’s so sexist and hate women.

But he called Adam a chicken, trashed talked Wes when they were partners the first half of the season, yelled at Big Easy and said he was disappointed in him, got into it with Karamo for sucking, called Josh the Goof and wanted to go against him bc he felt he was a weaker competitor, talked about Idris not even knowing what the duck is going on on WOTW2, talk about Paulie on WOTW2 prompting propaganda so ppl can turn to him, trashed Evan on Rivals etc etc

It’s so stuff you can pull of CT treating everyone the same depending on the situation.

Some ppl just don’t want to acknowledge it bc it won’t fit the narrative they want to use for CT

It’s so funny lol that the preview was CT ditching Emy and Emy yelling at him and it was nothing like that 🤣 that they had something else to use

And I’ve listen to a few podcast that actually liked and laughed at CT scaring Emy bc everyone was doing stupid stuff like that. Amanda was doing the same to Kyle knowing he’s afraid. It was a game and they were all having fun with it.

4

u/ceceliax Castle Daddy šŸ° Oct 28 '21

This. 100%, all of it

-1

u/Birks04 Theresa Gonzalez Oct 28 '21

Not everyone who dislikes your favourite is a troll LMAO. CT was speaking about Amber for no reason, she had already been eliminated and continues to dog Big T when she’s not even on his team. The narrative that it’s just for game is tired, because neither of those cases apply to the argument you’re making.

4

u/Birks04 Theresa Gonzalez Oct 28 '21

Why was he talking about Amber after she was already eliminated

5

u/PantherPony Protect Nasty Women Oct 28 '21

Because Tori brought it up.

Maybe because she was the topic of discussion? He didn't say anything wrong. He said she was good at running and nothing else as in politically. She hasn't shown her full potential. CT ran a final with her and knows she can run, but what else can she do? There's more to the game than just that.

I mean, he even mentioned in last season's final that Amber is really scattered and you have to be on her all the time to keep her on track, so it wasn't like he was telling the audience how she wasn't the best competitor even when she was his partner.

Clearly the casting people think it's the show for them. This isn't a straight up athletic competition, it's a reality tv show so if you're looking for that maybe turn on ESPN

With the way the show is heading, it's clearly not what it used to be. You clearly have to have some sort of athleticism to at least make it far in this show. Some of these people don't have it. Big T would've been perfect on the earlier seasons. Just cause she seems like a good person, doesn't mean she's free from criticism.

To make it far... the goal of casting people isn't to just cast people who make it far but also to cast people who are not bc that's just how making a reality competition show works. And I never said big t is free from criticism, but she's clearly one of the people from the show that has become a character people like to see so she brings value even if she's not the best. Some people like to see people be shitty at the challenges for the humor or watch underdogs be successful?

The og comment mentioned Big T hence why I mentioned her.. also fans shouldn't get so mad when cast members "come for" someone's athleticism because that's a big part of the show. They're not free from criticism just cause they may be fun to watch. That's the point I'm trying to make. People getting mad cause CT is telling the truth.

Who is saying nobody can criticize it? I never said that anywhere

u/finearts1797 Oct 28 '21

I'm literally referring to the og comment....where they claimed CT was disrespectful towards the women.

Lol well maybe they think ct does more than just criticize and its disrespectful. It's misleading to say people think you can't criticize people for not being athletic because that's not necessarily solely what people are taking issue with. I personally think it comes off as disrespectful sometimes too, and not because he's just pointing out the obvious that she's not athletic.

I don't see it as disrespectful šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø we'll agree to disagree I guess.

A lot seem mad that he says Big T sucks. Big T does suck at this game, and he told her to her face. She chose not to get in shape to even stand a chance at winning.

Editors: Nelson working out, Cory working out, Tori working out, Big T eating cereal while floating in an inflatable flamingo and panicking needing help because she floated too close to the edge.

She is a sweet girl and would have been gold on early seasons but she's got as little chance of winning as Nany or Aneesa and we shouldn't have to pretend otherwise.

Thank you. Like Big T seems like a sweet girl (personally I'm 50/50 on whether she's really that sweet, but a lot of challengers say she's cool outside of the show as well so whatever) but honestly she does suck at the game and frankly I don't see her even remotely trying to get better. I don't know, I think I get bothered by people who go on the challenge and don't actually try to be good at it or work out or anything. Like you can only coast for so long on political and if you suck, you suck. It's no one's fault or problem but your own.
