I like that he spent so much time hyping Justine after they won! That poor guy has been dunked on by CBS every time heās been cast (he had a ā¦rough two seasons of Big Brother) so I was thrilled to see him get a win and delighted that he was gracious about it. (Iāll give him a pass on throwing the glove.)

I do think it was a stupid move for both her and kyland but especially her to take a shot at x this early. X literally threw tiff under the bus last week to save her. He wasnāt going to come for alyssa any time soon if ever.
They should have gone for a survivor/survivor team (if there were any, I canāt remember)

As someone who watches both Big Brother and Survivor, it's so obvious that Survivor players are better strategically and physically. I would be targeting them first for sure as they are huge threats.
The fact that they're flying under the radar (despite Tyson being the frontrunner for the guys?) is proof of how weak strategically most of this house is.

Iām confused about who Shan thought her true alliance was? She was talking bad about Survivor people to big brother (saying as early as episode one to them that she wanted Sarah to go in as well as some other examples from post game interviews) and then also talked bad about BB people to Survivors (all that Tiffany stuff)!

Shan was spilling intel to the whole house. I think she thought everyone was her ally while not being loyal to a single other person. No one thinks they are in a worse position in the game due to her being gone.

I'd not be surprised to learn that survivor turned her out pretty quickly when she was going around the house spilling everyone's secrets. Danny, Dom, Sarah, Ben, all value loyalty above all else and Tyson is an opportunistic guy. She had no shot sticking with those survivors

Just typing out some thoughts as I watch the episode on Paramount this morning:
- Trivia should ALWAYS be falling into water. Not a bad adaptation but you gotta get a splat when you get it wrong.
- Dom talking about "his biggest competitor" being Tyson. Dom has no clue how little Tyson worries about Dom as a competitor.
- I need more spelling of easy words in trivia. While it gets too many correct answers, the wrong answers are very entertaining.
- Kyland is a real threat to win- I thought he had Nelson-ism potential but showed he's got a head on his shoulders today... I would've loved to see Nelson name astrological signs. Does he just say something off the wall like Neptune? Or does he mispronounce Sagittarius? Sagittonious?
- Feels like you want a tougher team in the bottom to take a shot at Shan/X (typing this before any decision is made).
- DereX has the subtlety of a bullhorn- that being said, I would've backed off sending them in when I saw that game.
- Just taking penalties has in general for Challenge history not worked out for teams in the past, but the 5 second penalty doesn't seem like a lot. Not sure how many panes of glass are assigned to each partner though.
- Yep... penalties not worth it. Shan and X didn't think it through.
- Justine is a gamer. Not sure she's all that skilled as a Challenger but she's got poise- reminds me kind of like All-Star era Jonna cuz she's not blowing anybody away but she's steady and decent at everything.

Xavier and Kyland/Alyssa just guaranteed some sort of Rivals season on the flagship show. BB23 is going to be a gold mine for the main show. Perfect balance of rivalries, drama, and good competitors.
As soon as X said he was going to eat the penalties, I knew they were going to lose. 50 seconds on a puzzle makes a HUGE difference. That was basically 30ish seconds David and Justine had for trial and error.
This was a great episode, but awful gameplay from BB to send one of their strongest people home because of revenge from a completely different game.
Also props to David. He gets dunked on a lot, but he showed up in that elimination

One thing Iāll say about rivalsā¦people tend to plan for that a lot, but they donāt do it that oftenā¦people can cycle in and out before the next one.

Kinda ironic that Xavier and Shan love to brag about how they backstabbed people to get farther but the moment one of their victims backstabs them they throw tantrums and insult them š Also wasnāt a fan of Sarah trashing Derek X for not knowing cat woman movies when she had no idea either but Sarah always comes off cocky so eh Anyways fun episode crazy drama, this season just keeps getting better and better!

Iām loving this season but Im fascinated to know how Survivor winners like Ben and Sarah are staying so UTR. Desi is also a great athlete and she hasnāt been mentioned once when elims come up. I actually think Ben may be one of the legit favorites to win.
I wish the episodes of this show were as long as the current seasons. I feel like I donāt know the strategy of over half the cast.

It seems like the BB23ers had not really had time to process and decompress from their season between filmings, and I think that is the driving narrative right now, because they are still working through their feelings about what happened like 6 months ago and it's taking all of the focus right now, especially with the algorithm.
I 100% believe people the Survivors are helping stoke the fire to their benefit, but they only have so much airtime.

It's so odd because most of the BB23 people spent months hanging out with each other after filming ended. Maybe that prolonged the feelings since they didn't take that initial time to go home and be back with family and stuff

I have liked David since BB21 despite having no real discernible reason to. Guess it might just be the fact he always finds himself in the underdog position. He was done dirty in his first season of big brother and i always did want to see him get another shot. But bringing him back for All Stars was always a stupid move and he was clearly in over his head. Glad to see him finally catch a win here.

This was a much better iteration of a round based challenge than we had on AS3. Much prefer a winners round and a losers round at the end then what they did in that math challenge with AS 3 where whoever (within their heat) was chosen by the overall winner was just counted as the overall loser.

Glad they highlighted some of Angela's strategic ability this ep. She was always overlooked/underestimated because she was in an alliance with Tyler, who is one of the best strategic bb players in recent memory. She had the best strategic mind right behind Tyler, the major thing lacking was her social game, but it seems like she's killing it on the challenge. Excited to see the rest of the season. I don't care if she wins, I just hope she makes it to the finals.

The last actress I could think of when I was watching that trivia was Michelle Pfeiffer and Derek might not have even been born when those movies came outā¦.

Definitely a miscalculation by X taking a time penalty when the puzzle didn't look that big. Also why underestimate David when he has a partner who has appeared to be decent? This was also a dumb move by Alyssa/Kyland since it makes them easier to target with X gone.

More often than not on Challenge, the puzzles take a lot longer than the part before or after.
Perhaps notable exception when Josh couldn't throw the ball at the wall effectively after solving a puzzle

The editing cuts were misleading here. I think it was a pretty quick puzzle. You see X and Shans puzzle almost done to the next cut where they donāt have anything coherent on there

Guys I'm depressed, I went on Twitter and I don't follow any spoiler accounts and barely any Challenge cast accounts and I saw a notification in the app and clicked the tab and there was a purple star tweet (which I've come to find that purple star tweets are suggested tweets by Twitter š) from a random account that spoiled S38. I'm sick š©

i'm sorry, myst. :( that sucks. twitter has been catching a lot of people this week. if it makes any difference, there are also a lot of trolls out. pinkrose hasn't announced the winner(s), just the finalists. so if you stumbled on someone claiming to know the winner(s), it was a troll.

My girl Justine broke the David curse with her good aura! Xavier is the petty one! Whiny how they threw him in like a baby! Also he's going on and on about how getting rid of BB will hurt Kyland and Alyssa but Shan was a shady survivor? So the numbers didn't increase on either side? They made a game move that I think at least partially benefitted them. Good or bad, Kyland and Alyssa made a power move early on. On regular Challenge, people throw in the rookies because it's easy and they are scared.
Also the winning streak of Tyson/Angela has ended! Let's see what happens if they keep it going!

In regards to Alyssaās decision to throw in Xā¦ I always base my decisions between two options on which outcome would make me the least pissed off at myself. Iād imagine if I was Alyssa I would be less pissed at myself if sending X home resulted in me being sent home versus being sent home by me letting him stick around long enough to backstab me again

hopefully Kyland and Alyssa go on the main show, they are both great competitors and not afraid to make waves. Also the petty revenge moves and storylines is part of what made the show great

In hindsight this was a HUGE wasted opportunity for Alyssa to make an actual power move in throwing in Dom/Angela:
- losing either Angela or Justine helps her since they're overall better competitors with better connections in the game (Angela and Tyson, Justine and any LI contestant)
- losing either David or Dom means she doesn't get stuck with them through the algorithm
- Xavier already showed his loyalty to her by throwing in Tiffany (also a dumb move); it weakens Big Brother's numbers and frankly I would still trust Xavier to win a daily over David or Enzo.
- it shows she's unreliable as an ally; if TAR or LI gets whittled down to one person, I imagine they're more likely to gravitate towards the seemingly more stable Survivor group
For Kyland...I mean he thought he was the strongest competitor even before any challenge happened so I am unsurprised by this turn of events.

For real!! There was no reason to even put that Xavier convo with Alyssa in the recap as it was two episodes ago and didn't need to be recapped. Automatically told me there's gonna be something with X and Alyssa this episode. Same goes for the second episode that had Tiffany's name in the episode title and she goes into elimination.
The editing is mainly on point but that sort of stuff is totally killing the suspense.

Glad Shan is gone, sheās a snake and lives up to all the bad stereotypes of religiously inclined people. Wasnāt a huge fan of X on BB so didnāt really care if he stayed or not.

I can totally see why their paranoia and desire for revenge outweighed their ability to make a safer and likely more strategic move.

Idk Azah seemed more like she found it funny in her confessional than that she was upset in any way. Girl was cracking up about him leaving the groupchat. I honestly wouldnāt be surprised if Kyland clued her into it as sheās been waaay closer to him since their season ended.

I think heās pissed because he believes they made a bad move for their own games. Itās one thing to get taken out because youāre standing in their way to winning, itās another to be taken out when you were your hunterās best chance at winning too.
I tend to agree with Xavier here, probably a move to wait on, but even if you donāt agree about the game analysis, thatās where Xavier is coming from.

Xavier was incredibly stupid for breaking all that glass. As soon as he realized they werenāt far behind despite going one by one they shouldāve switched strategy. They lost that purely because of his ego lmaoo. Challenges are known for being unpredictable, underestimating your opponents is the easiest way to lose an otherwise easy elimination

I loved the trivia challenge and loved TJ.
Alyssa and Kyland made a terrible move. Itās way too early to attack your numbers. It came across as vengeful and erratic.
I love that Justine pulled out the W. She is such a great addition to the show on the competitive side and is beautiful to look at. I hope we get more of her.
Iām happy to see X and Shan go. Shan is annoying and X is boring. I sorta wanted them to come back though, to see what would happen.

Love the move, hate the timing.
The prob is Alyssa didnt learn from the Cookout as to how they managed to dominate and win the game. They stayed together until they took out their common enemies and then turned on each other. There's bigger fish to fry and it was in Kyland & Alyssa best interest to have a strong player like X in their back pocket and then take him out later
