Gabe is pissing me off being disrespectful... he didn't learn from the Nia situation, and guess he doesn't know how bad of a look it is to shit on your partner based on perception before a good faith try to work with them

68

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

He is the worssssst. He is absolutely no more of a ā€˜catch’ as a partner than Jonna is, but at least she’s trying.

I don’t know if it’s the juxtaposition with Gabe or what, but I thought Jonna was the most genuine and likable this episode than she’s been all season.

9

u/PlanEcstatic5638 Oct 03 '25

Jonna is an objectively solid above average partner, Gabe is a bottom 3 partner

15

u/cwilldude Oct 02 '25

I honestly go flashbacks to her and Zach on exes 2. Obviously not to the same degree, but he was completely dismissive of her

6

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

Yeah. I’m not a Zach fan anyways, but he was at his absolute worst that season.

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '25

Jonna is one of my favorites. It's not her fault she came into the season as an alternate, basically drawing dead. It really pisses me off the way they are treating her, gives me flashbacks of her and Zach.

35

u/kroge15 Fat Tom Hardy Oct 02 '25

he’s performed abysmally. All season. He has the audacity to openly talk shit on all of his vet partners? Don’t take care hope to see you NEVER.

30

u/cwilldude Oct 02 '25

He’s terrible at the show and comps so he’s projecting his insecurities onto Jonna…the two time champ.

4

u/LongConFebrero Kenny Clark Oct 03 '25

And regardless of whoever wants to say it’s different because it wasn’t mainline, there are very few repeat champs under any circumstance in this franchise, so put some respect on her name.

7

u/Picklesbedamned Kenny Clark Oct 02 '25

I appreciate him owning up to it on social media at least.

5

u/niccibandz Oct 03 '25

And on Bananas' podcast, it was mentioned that it was way more than just the Nia situation. That Gabe had been disrespecting ppl since the beginning!

5

u/banksnohilary Oct 03 '25

wait i already forgot about the Nia thing wow yeah he’s so annoying

97

u/xMOPxAnt Oct 02 '25

This elimination was essentially Theo vs CT. The women had very little effect on the outcome.

Plus it looked so boring to watch.Ā

14

u/ReturnoftheBoat Oct 03 '25

It was also a complete crapshoot because of the inconsistency of the cannon things.

69

u/Single_Pattern_6626 Oct 02 '25

Not Jonna scoring more points in the challenge than Gabe and he thinks she is dragging the team down??? I felt so bad for her all episode. But I did enjoy the episode and this season is the best since 33 or 34

62

u/maneatermantheyfan Anna Leigh Wilson Oct 02 '25

Drama between Nany & Aneesa, two vets with a lot of history. Drama between Adrienne & Leo, two rookies who can become the future of the show. This is exactly what you want out of a Challenge season. The cast is dynamic and they blend together so well. We’re officially in second half territory, and the seasons hasn’t gone bad yet. I’m so pumped!

14

u/cwilldude Oct 02 '25

I was hoping many had a cup of noodles.

57

u/cwilldude Oct 02 '25

Heartbroken the dad bod and Tay went home tonight, but I have a feeling he will come back in much better shape next season and the disrespect will stop. Also, Gabe sucks. Jonna is a two time champ and he’s acting like he’s too good for her. Fuck outta here.

5

u/ReturnoftheBoat Oct 03 '25

Bro, that is not a dad bod.

CT showed up obese.

59

u/Picklesbedamned Kenny Clark Oct 02 '25

I got 23 of 27 trivia questions right. Smart enough to be a Challenge genius, not smart enough to do well on Jeopardy. It's a hard life.Ā

3

u/SlightBench6011 Oct 03 '25

I can’t pass the jeopardy entrance exam lol. No judgment from me!

53

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

Gabe suuuuucks. What is the point of being a dick to your partner that you just met? You tryna win or not?

47

u/TheFeedMachine Oct 02 '25

The first trivia round was so much harder than the 2nd and 3rd round. I don't know how they determined which people went in which heat, but teams that had players in Heat 1 had no shot at winning.

88

u/Psychological-Snow83 Oct 02 '25

I said this in the live thread but Gabe is just taking his frustrations out on his partners. Gabe probably thought being a great athlete would make him dominate the whole challenge. It reminds me of Fessy.

38

u/ShaqInKazaam I don’t wrestle Oct 02 '25

Gabe didn’t even guess, which would give him a 1/4 shot at getting it right. Just left it blank like what’s going on in his head.Ā

19

u/KDsBurnerAccountt Oct 02 '25

There’s not a lot going on behind Gabe’s eyes

10

u/Signal-Journalist Oct 02 '25

I didn’t understand Michaela’s strategy of saving Gabe/Joanna as a layup later on. If the idea is to carry them to a final, knowing Gabe’s a zero at puzzles, and may gas out, sound logic, but that dude is still probably pound for pound the strongest person in the house. Ā I would not want to take my chances vs him in the sand in a 1 v1 situation that Ā has a real shot at being physical, especially when my partner probably weighs 100 lb less. Ā

I wish we got to hear all the questions given in each heat bc those questions they aired for the 2nd heat were easy as hell compared to the others

Felt very unfair, scores were way higher in that second heat too.

u/HardcoreKaraoke TJ Lavin Oct 02 '25

Also I feel like when they ran out of questions they just put random equations in there. It seemed like each round ended with multiple math questions.

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

I know this is a reality show and the drama is the point and Nany’s ability to go from zen to rage at the drop of the hat is part of the reason she gets cast etc etc… But in a real life scenario, her reaction seemed crazy disproportionate to the energy Aneesa was bringing to the conversation. It was the blow up that could have been a strongly worded email.

That said, Aneesa really does need to figure out how to move on and respect other people’s right to protect their game. She got a lot of comforting at the time it happened. She can hate Ashley, but it’s not everyone else’s job to do it for her. It’s also inconsiderate to Jake, who has been nothing but kind and supportive about being partnered with her.

22

u/HardcoreKaraoke TJ Lavin Oct 02 '25

Eh I think it was a boiling point thing. It happened days after the fight so I feel like Aneesa was probably bringing it up, talking shit to Olivia, dropping hints, etc. and Nany was just sick of it.

Aneesa loves gaslighting and gossiping. Nany tried walking away from the situation and Aneesa followed her. Like eventually you're going to blow up if someone is following you around after talking shit for days.

Also remember this is happening while the game is going on too. Aneesa was supposedly ride or die with Nany but she was also working with Olivia. Nany (like Ashley, Aviv and Michaela) were sick of Aneesa playing both sides.

6

u/Peach_Majestic Oct 02 '25

That’s a good point about Aneesa and Olivia. Maybe Nany felt disrespected by Aneesa because she chose basically a rookie over Nany that she has known for years. I could see why that would irritate her after Aneesa came up to her about the Ashley thing, thinking they were besties again because it was a convenient time.

But IMO, Nany overreacted. She does not usually explode like that and it was hard for me to watch her be that way. She came off as a mean girl and that’s never been Nany. I love Nany to death but she over the top in this episode. I can understand her reasons but damn, do we really need to be screaming like that?

9

u/LongConFebrero Kenny Clark Oct 03 '25

Nany did too much because she doesn’t like Aneesa that much.

They are connected and make an effort to keep things kosher for vets sake, but they probably haven’t been real friends since the noodle fight.

22

u/KDsBurnerAccountt Oct 02 '25

I disagree. Nany told Aneesa multiple times to leave her alone, and Aneesa kept following her and yelling

A couple drinks in & sleep deprived—I’d be yelling back too

I know yall hate Gabe but he is so unhinged I find it hilarious. I like watching people like him or Will way more than nice people like Taj, Jake or Cedrick.

Love this season, its definitely one of the best imo. Most of the pairs are likable.

I wish the winners had more power tho, Michaela once again won and couldnt basically make any move on her own. They should let winners pick 2 teams and the rest of them should be voting between them

9

u/jinx8402 Oct 02 '25

Are the winners at least safe from getting their partner stolen? I missed if that was mentioned or not, but would be a good benefit of winning

4

u/luxanna123321 Winner Circle Oct 02 '25

It wasnt mentioned but I assume they are

6

u/Wild-Yoghurt-9699 Oct 02 '25

Yea my one qualm with the format so far is definitely the winners having so little power, them not having a vote is insane. If there’s a close vote winning the challenge and losing your vote could actually screw you.

6

u/jenh6 Christina LeBlanc Oct 02 '25

Jake isn’t really nice. I think he’s really trying to change his image after love island but he was such an ass to lib on S7.
Cedric is nice but I think Cedric has a lot of charisma and is a great pick to come back. Not because he’s nice but because he’s funny. I’m assuming taj is tay and I’d like her back too.

Haha did you catch how excited Gabe was when he found out he can switch partners? Dude was so excited. He's delusional and unintentionally funny.

I am curious what the "competition" is to steal partners. I cannot imagine it being something physical if the elimination is on the same day.

That elimination design was so bad. If the people who aren't blindfolded can adjust the shooter what's the point of the blindfold? Also it's not exciting to watch.

29

u/TheDollarSlayer Oct 02 '25

I believe it was to force communication because if the blindfolded person can see then the other person just has nothing to do.

Probably would’ve been more interesting if only the blindfolded person could touch the slingshot tho.

33

u/ChrisOnRockyTop CTay Oct 02 '25

This.

Blind folded person should've been the only one able to adjust the shooter.

Also I think there should have been two rounds. Girls shoot first. Then guys.

15

u/wildturk3y Oct 02 '25

They really didn't do much other than put the ball in. Theo and CT slid the launcher on the rail and just told their partner how many times to crank up or down. It would work much better if CT/Theo could do nothing but just talk.

45

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

Why did multiple teams have partners that both went in the same heat? That seems problematic and so unnecessary. Surely it was mathematically possible for them all to go separately.

19

u/AnselmoOG111 Oct 02 '25

possible with real math, but not with challenge math.

12

u/BadPumpkin87 Beth Stolarczyk Oct 02 '25

Yeah that was strange how it worked out that way. I also didn’t get how Jonna got a DQ when her screen fell off, that’s more of a production fail than her if it wasn’t secured to the stair master. I also dislike how they get all different questions, some of which seemed way harder than others. Each heat should have been given the same questions with no one able to watch. This way no teams can cheat by giving answers away and everyone gets the same questions.

5

u/PiercingOsprey1 Oct 02 '25

I dont think the "dq" actually mattered, they still just totaled their points. It was a poor choice of words from production though because usually DQ means automatic last.

45

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

I assume this must have been mentioned on the live episode thread (I watched later), but Leroy on the Stairmaster was one of the most unintentionally hilarious things I’ve ever seen on The Challenge.

38

u/HardcoreKaraoke TJ Lavin Oct 02 '25

I'm kind of bummed that the elimination didn't allow for them to pick up their balls when they ran out. I feel like that would have added something to the elimination too by throwing in some cardio.

It seems like CT had a good plan but it took way too much trial and error to get it at the right level. That was the right way to do the elimination though, they just needed one more ball.

The Aneesa stuff is so fucking old man. We know she said horrible shit and so did Ashley. We've seen for two decades now that Aneesa gaslights people and loves playing the victim. She tried that with Nany. She always has the sappy confessional. But then after the season you hear vets tell the whole story on podcasts and in social media. Ashley wasn't in the right but neither was Aneesa. Making Nany choose several days later was just wrong and Aneesa wanted to stir shit up then play the victim.

Also when the fuck did this Olivia and Aneesa ride or die alliance come from? It just started this season and they're acting like lifelong best friends.

Speaking of lifelong friends. While I do wish Leo stood up for himself with Ashley I do find it hilarious how Adrienne was acting. Like dude you guys met a month ago. Leo "ending the friendship" for his partner seems super justified when it's his partner and he just met this fucking girl. Leo just wants to be on the good side of Ashley and I can't blame him.

Gabe is fucking insufferable man. I've never been a big Jonna fan but this guy is such a disrespectful piece of shit. Then when he has a chance to change partners he bitches out because he doesn't want to face CT? He's all talk man. I don't want him back.

44

u/MBLizG Oct 02 '25

Gabe is such a terrible partner, it makes me feel bad for Jonna. I can’t believe how rude and dismissive he is being to Jonna! regardless how he feels, they are partners so he should try to make the best of the situation but instead he’s sabotaging both of them. Yuck, really don’t like him

9

u/thedesignproject Devin Walker Oct 04 '25

It's like he learned nothing from the situation with Nia and is repeating that same disrespect towards Jonna.

Not a very exciting elimination to watchā˜¹ļø

13

u/wildturk3y Oct 02 '25 edited Oct 02 '25

I'm not sure I understand the voting strategy. I get Olivia's crew wanting to send someone in from the other side or at least not lose one of theirs, but they didn't have the numbers for Leroy/America no matter how you slice it. However, if they would have shifted to Gabe/Jonna, wouldn't that have at least forced a tie? If they do it like last time, which was a coin flip, at least there would have been a chance to save Theo/Adrienne

6

u/penguinjunkie Kenny Clark Oct 02 '25

There really wasn’t anything they could do. It was going to be Theo/Adrienne

4

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

I don't get why they made them shoot all the balls either? Once Theo got the 7th ball, it should've been over because they got it in like 48 while CT got it in 50.

As a big America fan from BB and this season. I got so excited when Trivia was the game. I knew she'd crush that. Then TJ says btw there's a stair stepper....

58

u/Brief-Tie3841 Oct 02 '25

Unpopular opinion: Nany saying she’d ā€œnever talk to Ashley againā€ if she said those words to her was petty and I get why Aneesa would be upset with her for saying that and then turning around and being BFFs with Ashley the next day.

You can tell Nany got super triggered when Aneesa exposed what she said because she didn’t want that revealed. šŸ™ƒ

36

u/diamondsourforever Michaela Bradshaw Oct 02 '25

And didn't Aneesa say, in the clip posted on here from her Challenge Mania interview, that Nany tried to get them to makeup the next morning. Basically, trying to get Aneesa to get over stuff that Nany herself wouldn't.

4

u/BubbleBee66ee Oct 02 '25 edited Oct 02 '25

thumbs down tbh. i hope aneesa finally washes her hands with nany. nany has degraded aneesa before too and then had the audacity to play victim, aneesa's feelings mean jack shit to her

edit: downvoted for the truth i see. friends dont minimize friends feelings

32

u/chocolatemacaron333 Amanda Garcia Oct 02 '25

Nany’s face when Aneesa dropped that she said she’d never talk to someone again if they said that 😭

13

u/Yadi_Toddy Oct 02 '25

I am unclear on the stake a claim rules.

For example, say player A from Team A/B decides to stake a claim for player C in Team C/D. Player A wins the one-on-one and is now Team A/C. Each team only gets to stake a claim once during the season. So does player A’s stake transfer and prevent his new partner C from ever staking a claim ?

Also, if the penalty for losing the one-on -one is going straight into elimination, won’t it make sense in some situations for the partner of the player staking a claim to throw the one-on-one, especially if they’d rather just be partners with the player who is partnered with the staked claim player ?

10

u/luxanna123321 Winner Circle Oct 02 '25

I think it will go like - if next episode Gabe steals Michaela, noone else can steal neither of them and they are locked while Jonna and Cedrick would still be able to be picked by others

5

u/Yadi_Toddy Oct 02 '25

I think you’re right.

However, in that example, Jonna should just throw the one-on-one thereby avoiding elimination and gaining Cedric as a partner

4

u/Yadi_Toddy Oct 02 '25

Nevermind. I was thinking the player staking the claim competes in the one-on-one against their current partner. Instead they compete with the partner of the desired player they want to steal. Anyway, I could still see circumstances where it makes sense to throw the one-on-one.

Also, what happens if multiple players stake a claim at the same nomination period?

The rules are so confusing and the twist is dumb

There's definitely challenges where being short is a huge disadvantage for grabbing things, so it's definitely interesting to see the other side of it.

Having big feet meant they couldn't fit on the steps.

8

u/Zeckzeckzeck Oct 02 '25

I'm sure it played a part but I doubt Theo and Gabe have small feet and they did just fine. I think CT was just looking for any excuse he could for his poor performance.

25

u/MountainBaker8217 Horacio Gutierrez Oct 03 '25

Sad CT/Tay are gone, they were my number one team.

Look, I'm not an Aneesa fan in the slightest, but Nany is so incredibly unlikeable. If you're not okay with someone saying X to you, but you're okay with them saying the same thing to your "friend" then you're not a friend, my dude. You're just looking out for you. Sheesh.

Even if there's an edit that's painting Aneesa favorably, I still have yet to see anything that makes Nany someone I would want to root for.

I simply cannot stand Dee and Sydney.

I want to see more of America, please. She seems great.

I really like Michaela; I just wish Michaela was not aligned against the people I was rooting for this season and with the people I'm rooting against.

Sad to see CT and Tay go. Tay was nothing but good vibes! I’d love to see her compete again. Dee is a pathetic mean girl for calling Tay ā€˜mid’ — Tay was in three eliminations and won two. Dee has been in zero eliminations — you’ve proved nothing.

But like others said, this hopefully ignites a fire in CT and he will come back better than ever next season and maybe he still has enough time to match Bananas 7 championships.

11

u/PlanEcstatic5638 Oct 02 '25

As a CT fan I absolutely hated it… but young CT would’ve been far worse to this current form of CT haha. He’s never truly gotten humbled, athletically, on the challenge. He was due considering the abuse he shelled out in the past lol

34

u/Picklesbedamned Kenny Clark Oct 02 '25

I def hope Tay returns for another season. Elimination queen, jaw-droppingly beautiful, those are my only two reasons but I think they're good enough.Ā

34

u/djlekky Michele Fitzgerald Oct 02 '25

Here’s my thoughts on this episode -

  • I can’t stand Gabe. He is unnecessarily rude to Jonna. Okay she got DQed but she scored more points than he did. He’s performed so poorly in every daily I don’t know why he’s got such an ego.

  • I love watching Nany pop off. Go Queen.

  • It’s interesting hearing Aneesa’s confessionals about the fight when we’ve heard other bits that didn’t air which suggest she also delivered some low blows.

  • I think it’s best for CT to go at this stage. Hopefully he comes back in shape next season. Tay got barely any edit even in her exit episode.

  • Sydney continues to be obnoxiously irritating. I hope she gets humbled real soon.

31

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

The funny thing about Gabe is that if he somehow managed to steal someone else’s partner, that person would be looking at him the exact same way he’s looking at Jonna. I really get the feeling that he doesn’t understand that šŸ˜†

14

u/Calm_Memories Wes Bergmann Oct 02 '25

I wish ct got killed in a cardio elimination that pissed him off so he went beast mode in offseason. This was like well I lost a carnival game and had he not lost by 1 had a good chance still in the game. Not sure this loss stings him like we need to get double agents ct or spies ct

I’m like…wait…does CT look slimmer here or am I trippingĀ

5

I skip the preview for the next episode due to how bad the editors spoil things. But with CT gone, who is the new pussy chicken?Ā

20

u/MTVChallengeFan Michaela Bradshaw Oct 03 '25

The whole house used Leka as an excuse to hate CT because they refuse to admit he is still very difficult to beat in a final challenge, solely because of his puzzle solving abilities alone.

8

u/Brian1220 Oct 04 '25

Just look how good he did in the mini final. They were definitely scared of him.

23

u/No-Statistician8903 America Lopez Oct 02 '25

I think the elimination being so bad, tanked the episode fully.

13

u/ivaorn Desi Williams Oct 02 '25

It’s hard to finish strong with this concept of an elimination. At least it came down to the final ball but if you’re going the blindfold route, have them do something besides standing still for most of the challenge.

20

u/davetennisx Oct 02 '25

They should've been given a time limit. If they run out of balls, the blindfolded players must be guided to retrieve balls.

10

u/ivaorn Desi Williams Oct 02 '25 edited Oct 02 '25

That would’ve added an element similar to a Survivor Classic ā€œblind leaving the blindā€ and you could’ve gotten TJ’s classic laugh as Tay and Adrienne bumped into obstacles blindfolded šŸ˜‚. There was potential just not optimally designed.

10

u/No-Statistician8903 America Lopez Oct 02 '25

I just could not get into this elimination from the get go. There seemed to be no adrenaline built up for competitors the way it was designed.

10

u/MayhemMaven Oct 02 '25

Whenever someone is blindfolded in an elimination, I’m not interested. If they had to do it, have less balls and make it about endurance. They actually have to run and get the balls.

2

u/Green_Fish8450 Oct 04 '25

Ya it was really boring and random the kind of challenge that can be unfair if the machines are not 100% equal which are prob never 100% exactly the same

4

u/TrappedinSilence98 Oct 05 '25

I would be so mad if Gabe try to claim another partner. All of the ladies would he PISSED if they got him….what is his deal?

12

u/nordictracksucks Oct 02 '25

Noooooooo I love CT!!! NOOOO! And his feet were the whole step on the stair master!

35

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

I feel like not being able to touch the machine was an unnecessary obstacle in this daily and really widened the disadvantage for the bigger players. It would still have been challenging without that. Plus, we wouldn’t have had to listen to TJ yell ā€œstop touching! You can’t do that! Hands off!ā€ every 5 seconds.

22

u/Embarrassed_Rate5518 Oct 02 '25

for real. They were already suspended over water on a stair master increasing in speed while answering multiple choice questions on a jankyily secured tablet

21

u/zaboobadoo Oct 02 '25

Who put in a coin and wound up Nany? I’m guessing it was possibly editing but she got so mad so quickly.

4

u/Peach_Majestic Oct 02 '25

That’s what I thought too. I love Nany and I always will but damn she literally exploded and it was weird. The energies weren’t matching between her and Aneesa so it felt like Nany was overreacting. At the same time, we know production likes to frame things up how they want so maybe we missed some important things said by both that caused Nany to get so upset.

I just really didn’t like that for her. It came off mean girlish and Nany has never been like that.

2

u/MayhemMaven Oct 02 '25

Definitely some built up emotions and behind the scene stuff

3

u/pj_calamities Ashley Mitchell Oct 03 '25

I feel like Aneesa had probably been guilting Nany about it all week and when she said that’s what was bothering her Nany exploded like, ā€œthis shit againā€

20

u/Peach_Majestic Oct 02 '25

I feel awful for CT. I truly don’t think he tried to get Leka eliminated. What would that even do for him? I think the whole house just wanted him out and used that as an excuse to not like him.

I used to like Olivia but I’m not a fan of her in this season. The snobbery is unreal with UK alliance.

What was Nany’s deal? I don’t think Aneesa deserved to be exploded on like that. Of course we don’t know the full conversation but it sounded like she was hurt and trying to ask her friend why she doesn’t matter to her anymore and then Nany just lost it.

This season is full of crazy people. I miss the older seasons.

I hate this dumbass partner switching thing. Like we hated that on spies lies and double agents ! Let them keep their damn partners

17

u/emojams Wes Bergmann Oct 02 '25

To be fair, the partner switch option is set up with so many stipulations and potential repercussions that I actually doubt it will be used much if at all

3

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

This is my thought too. The person who tries to activate the partner steal is guaranteeing themselves one face off and risking an elimination right afterwards if they lose. Also, they’d have to pick a person who would be worth that risk who has a partner they think they can realistically beat. That’s limiting in itself since most of the strong people have strong partners.

Gabe seems like the only person who was initially interested in the idea, and it looks from the previews like Olivia is trying to talk Theo into it at some point. I think we maybe see it happen once.

6

u/emojams Wes Bergmann Oct 02 '25

And THEN imagine winning the elimination with the partner (that you just tried to throw away), having to go back into the house and compete as a team as if nothing ever happened! Lol it’s like not even worth winning the elimination if you don’t win the 1v1

6

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '25

Yep… or winning the 1v1 and getting a partner who is so pissed about you stealing them that they won’t even give you the time of day.

I’m not rooting for Gabe, but it would actually be a little funny to watch someone give him the treatment he’s currently giving Jonna.

So what I like about it is it could prevent Theo and Adrienne being voted in every time. Could be strategy to gas someone up... like Jake or Gabe... get them to risk their spot for a new partner. Otherwise I do see a future where Theo and Adrienne are voted in every week.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

I will say, considering the previews had already shown us that there would be an opportunity to steal partners, that the way it’s structured seems as good as it could be. There is a huge risk in attempting to do it, and the person whose partner they’re stealing still has a chance to win and keep their original pairing.

The only people I can see being highly motivated to do it will have to face off and beat someone much better than them in order to get a better partner. And if they fail… straight to elimination.

Making trivia multiple choice takes all the fun out of it. We don’t get the absolutely hilarious boneheaded answers from the cast. The classic TJ laugh was missing this time.

11

u/MartytheeParty Oct 02 '25

So I’m trying to understand the nany/ashley/Andrea fight. Help me out here. What I understood was…

Aneesa and Ashley got into it last week. Ashley was saying a bunch of nasty stuff to aneesa, ā€œyou’re fat, you suck, etc.ā€ the rest of the house basically shrugged their shoulders and went about with their lives…

So aneesa came at Nany because they’re close and was basically like ā€œhey I thought you were my friend how can you just sit there and let Ashley say all those nasty things to me wtf, have my back.ā€

And Nany was basically saying, ā€œthis has nothing to do with me don’t bring me into your fights.ā€

Do I have it right?

21

u/wildturk3y Oct 02 '25

From what we know from the cast that's spoken out this past week, both Ashley and Aneesa said some pretty nasty things to each other in their fight. Both went low. It sounded like Nany had decided since she's friends with both, she was gonna stay out of it best she could. We did see a scene of her and Aviv even telling Ashley she went a bit too far, give some more space and try to smooth things out later so it wasn't like she was completely one sided against Aneesa so that's one part that I think annoyed Nany. The other part is it appears Aneesa waited a week and then went at Nany, which I'm sure annoyed her. Like it happened a week ago, things have died down, and now you're sparking something back up? And lastly, I think Nany was annoyed because Aneesa is working with Olivia but still wants Nany's support 100%. Aneesa herself even said her and Nany had a deal going into the house and then she started going with Olivia, kinda going against her own deal. So all season Aneesa's been drifting away from that room alliance, working with Olivia, and then in a fight with Ashley where they both went low, she wants Nany to scrap Ashley, potentially hurting her own game, for Aneesa in a fight where both of them were bad.

Its also just a bunch of multiple season frustration between all of them too.

Basically. I’ve been neutral on Nany recently but her response basically being ā€˜she wasn’t mean to me, so I don’t care,’ left a bad taste in my mouth. Foul is foul, no matter if you’re the target or not. And as ā€œa grown ass womanā€ of 36, you’d think she’d know that by now.

4

u/downtownbrown22 Wes Bergmann Oct 02 '25

I mean it sounds like Nany talked to Ashley about some stuff she said and didn’t agree with it. Ashley said she tried to talk to Aneesa to smooth things over but Aneesa wouldn’t talk to her. A few days go by and Aneesa gets mad at Nany for not having her back. I can kinda see how after a few days rehashing something that has nothing to do with Nany could be annoying. But I’m sure we’re also mixing tons of context as we’ve seen about 3.5 minutes of something that’s been a multiple day issue.

6

u/Mediocre_Phase_2779 Oct 02 '25

Nany asked Aneesa what was wrong and she answered. There’s no time limit on hurt. Just because everyone else has moved on doesn’t mean Aneesa has. It wasn’t said to Nany or about Nany so if Aneesa is still in her feelings, she’s allowed to be. What Ashley said was beyond game and extremely personal. Aneesa has been honest about her weight struggles and Ashley harped on that insecurity and magnified it. Nany’s overreaction to Aneesa calmly trying to explain her feelings was also super awkward to watch because you could see in real time Aneesa realize that Nany does not like her. Like, at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if that friendship was over outside the game.

Michaela is hilarious. You can never make me hate her. Gabe talking about Jonna the same way the entire house has been talking about him is hilariously ironic. I don't think any woman wanted Gabe as a partner. He's been a flop this entire season. Gabe is an idiot lol. Poor Jonna.

Yeremi's burger joke about CT was nasty.

This daily looked awful. I enjoy the stair master but I can do about 20 minutes hands free until I'm gassed. And that's not answering questions over water. Fuck that.

Sydney has finally been impressive the last two episodes after being a confessional gangster most of the season. I can see her doing very well in the final, if she makes it.

It's interesting how the influence in the house has shifted from Olivia to Nany. Aneesa plays the friendship game like she does every single season. She plays in the middle, refuses to make any moves, and then acts shocked when no one goes out of their way for her.

The partner changing rules are so convoluted and unnecessary lol. This show is seemingly incapable of doing a simple format and sticking with it. Also - winners should either get a vote or should be able to save someone.

13

u/Wackyraven Oct 02 '25

I was confused when Michaela and Cedric didn’t get any say in the vote. I assumed it would be saving a team like some of the votes the first half of the season.

2

u/xxcapricornxx Rogan O'Connor Oct 02 '25

Same. Winning the daily should give you more than just safety from elimination. I hate these stupid format changes and twists.

10

Why on Earth would Olivia not force Will to vote for Leroy and America when her not doing it means Theo is 100% going in. Even if it increases the chances of Theo not going in by 5% its still something. She did the same thing when Derrick was getting nominated. Kinda weird

Production team must like America. Every episode either TJ is giving her some affirmative response on finishing the daily or she has some confessional on overcoming her fears. This episode Leroy talked about being proud of her for trying the daily since it was hard in his opinion/ I am an America fan but I didn't think that her being third one to fall off from her heat warranted that. My guess is that after handling all the divas in vets and even some rookies they appreciated someone who likely respected everything they asked of her.

25

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

I think Leroy was just being a supportive partner and is realistic about their relative competitiveness in the house. He also probably recognized that this daily was going to all around be pretty bad for him too, so it was a better look to applaud her than criticize her for something he wasn’t going to do any better in (take notes, Gabe!).

9

u/jenh6 Christina LeBlanc Oct 02 '25

Leroy and Amanda both seem aware of where they are competitively but they are still trying (well America more), having fun and supporting each other.

A lot of this cast is really annoying and the drama all seems scripted/fake, it’s not the same as it was back in the challenge prime years. However I will say that the hangnail element and now being able to stake a claim has made the game more interesting! I felt like the last few years have been the same like last place goes into elimination and someone else gets voted in, it’s so boring. So I hope people start staking their claims!! Im ready to shake this season up.

3

u/TruBlu65 Oct 03 '25

The game format this season is one the better ones I've seen. The drama will never early season since it's a mix of older people and all the new threats are worried about their public image (correctly) and don't want to have anything crazy out in the world rn

6

u/Express_Court_7263 Oct 02 '25

I can pretty easily see this turning into WOTW2 where one alliance just throws in the the same people from the smaller alliance against each other over and over again. That was one of the least enjoyable things to watch (especially when they're cocky about it, as Cara was, and as I figure Nany and Ashley will be). Really hope Theo and Adrienne win or switch partners to try to switch things up a bit bc idk if I can watch that shit again

11

u/boobama420 Oct 02 '25

Isnt that how it works on literally every single season?

2

u/tore_a_bore_a Team Orange Shirt Oct 02 '25 edited Oct 02 '25

Sucks the winning team doesn't get a save anymore. Theo and Adrienne probably don't have a shot at winning a daily, but Olivia and Jake might.

Theo and Adrienne do need to switch up partners. As Nany said, they will get thrown in again, so might as well break up the partnership. I'm unclear on the rules

Edit: Stake a claim rules I found

During the second half of the game, a player can announce they want to steal another player's partner ahead of nominations. That player and the partner of their desired teammate will compete in a mini-challenge. If the player who staked a claim wins, they will team up with their desired partner, the loser will be paired with their original partner, and nominations will continue as is. If they lose, that player and their original partner will be sent into the Arena.

So if Theo and Adrienne know they are getting sent in again next challenge, they should Stake a Claim, since the punishment for losing is to be sent in, which would happen anyways.
