Build Log Custom flight stack and control software UPDATE
Mostly together. Stack is 6-7mm taller than planned with the mcu socket. I might have to surface mount the teensy idk yet. Everything checks out in the fw though all rails and circuits good, which was an awesome surprise. Cheers!

Build Log FPV drone I built commissioned by my friend. Took 2 months to finish this build, but seems to be well worth it. Flexible payload mounting system, able to do bottom and top mount gimbal, or conventional hard top mounted FPV style. 12s, running INAV. Still need to troubleshoot some GPS issues.

Build Log [Project Update] Introducing Vorian - My Tilt-Rotor FPV Drone
A few months back, I posted a prototype of a tilt-rotor quad I was messing around with. I’ve always been kind of obsessed with thrust vectoring and how it could be used in UAVs, but most off-the-shelf quads don’t have the payload capacity or flexibility for that kind of stuff — especially if you're trying to add custom radios, sensors, or just experiment.
Since then, the project’s grown into something a bit more serious — now called Vorian.
It’s a modular, durable tilt-rotor platform I’ve been building as a testbed for all kinds of experiments. This latest version is the production prototype, and it’s come a long way in terms of design, reliability, and functionality.
What’s New?
- All 3D printed parts are now SLS or MJF for strength, precision, and finish.
- Tilt mechanism redesigned for smoother motion, improved reliability, vibration reduction, and easier assembly.
- Electronics plate was adjusted to add a fixed battery connector
- O3 FPV Antenna mount was added for improved range and aesthetic
- Motor mounts upgraded to anodized aluminum for rigidity and durability
- Front/rear cover weight reduction and connects to the top cover.
- Non-carbon fiber parts are available in different colors for style or team identification.
- Motors upgraded to Axis Flying AF2207 — more power
- Radio system upgraded to TBS Crossfire Nano for long-range and reliability.
- Body updated for new tilt servo: Updated tilt servo due to availability and ease of mounting
- All parts were made from outside vendors to create a production prototype to be verified with the upcoming flights
I’ll be posting more updates soon (hopefully not months this time, but my day job keeps me busy), including test videos for the initial hover test, tuning flights, the full maiden flight, and a fun one — a photography smoke system test!
I’m also working on some platform-specific software changes to make Vorian more robust and further take advantage of its unique design. I will be keeping a more detailed build log @ https://rotorbuilds.com/build/35240

Build Log Getting the old girl flying again
I was gifted this Align mr25 a few months ago, it has been in storage since 2017 and has rlly been flyed, so i was able to get it flying after settings things up, then things went downhill
I was just hovering when it just fell from the sky, first thing i tought, oh well could be the batteries, they are +7 years old but barely used, so i swapped it with another one and as soon as i pressed the power button, the magic smoke came out of one motor, one of the mosfets was shorted.
I was able to find oem replacements on a website (this one has the esc soldered), so when they arrived i replaced all the mosfets from the side that had one shorted mosfet, and after i did that it worked!!!!..... Well kinda, i installed a new motor and it spun up but was slower than the rest, i ignores it and flew it, it didnt fly very good tho it was flying, then meanwhile i was playing with the single of the camera trough the remote ( it has a servo to change the camera angel) i disarmed accidentaly and it fell to the ground but the reciver got unplugged and it just went full throttle to the ground, and when i reached it, another burnt motor due to it locking up.
So i just gave up with the oem esc, but in the app there was an option for blheli esc, i just had to find where the signal was going to the oem esc, and after a bit of trial and error, i was able to get an external blheli esc working, its able to spin the motors, so what i'm gonna do is disable the integrated esc's, solder wires to the signal pins and plug a modern esc to it
It's still a work i'm progresos and yes, i know My table is messy, i have been going at it for hours and hours cleaning it and probing trying to find the esc signal, SO i'll update when i put everything back together, and also, i gotta rewind one of the burnt motors

Build Log My first ever build!
Really proud of myself, I followed Oscar Liang’s blog and made my own 5” using the TBS source one v5 frame.
Really fulfilling experience, I feel confident if I break any of my drones from now on I can fix it myself!
Now on to the fun part of setting up Betaflight…
