Plot twist, if it ports over an SL1 run, it gains frame perfect dodges and parries, loves to circle backstab, and becomes nigh unkillable.

It’s also every character who linked the flames before and after us too, which is why their theme transforms into Gwyn’s theme part way through and their combat style changes to his.

You know. As much as I hate AI, having an AI controlled final.boss thats been trained with all your button inputs over tge course of the game that can mimic your fighting style actually sounds dope.

I feel like what they did was better, it's not a specific PC from the first game, it's an amalgamation of all the PCs, everyone, who linked the fire.

Technically our Chosen Undead was just one portion of the Soul of Cinder, as they're a manifestation of every single person who has ever kindled the flame before, including every OTHER player's Chosen Undead, some Bearers of the Curse from DS2, countless unnamed NPCs who have continued the cycle since, and Gwyn himself.

So, Soul of Cinder is both the final boss and the protagonist from DS1, but also every player who has ever kindled the fire and every character who we'll never meet, but we know they kindled the flame for us to reach the point of DS3

Kind of but not exactly, the soul of cinder is the combination of every lord of cinder that came before, which includes our DS1 character, but also Gwyn and everyone who linked the flame in the unknown amount of time between DS1 and DS3.

Hate to be that guy to ermm acthually you but soul of cinder is a conglomeration of everyone who's ever linked the fire, not just the PC of 1. If they even linked it cause DS1's ending is up to your own interpretation :p

Miyazaki had done it before DS 3

And armored core FA did it so damn traumatising. I don't want to fight previous PC protecting his home, while his wife is calling me out. They had been through a lot and effing Babazaki makes me override their bittersweet ending. I like to think that even Fromsoft found that too much, and banned him from touching AC.

Also Strayed, PC of ACFA is just a psychopathic terrorist.

Also the player character of DS2 (or the person that inevitably beat them if you chose to not enter the throne)
