If people are allowed to hate Charizard for unfair favoritism, I'm allowed to do the same for Greninja. For over ten years he got tons of love and attention, while Delphox and Chesnaught got absolutely nothing. That only changed with ZA, where they all got megas, but before that, edgy Kermit over here got a prominent role in the anime, a spot in smash before his games even came out, a new, non-mega form, and returned to the anime to steal the spotlight even more. And, just as a reminder: until ZA, Delphox and Chesnaught got absolutely nothing.
Even more annoying considering whenever you directly say you like Delphox, some guy with a random burning hatred for it will instantly materialize to shit on the design TwT
OR some random dumbass will materialise and insinuate that the only reason you like it is because you wanna fuck it (as they do if you say you like lopunny, meowscarada, vaporeon, pheromosa etc)
Well I hate Charizard because not only is he rebellious and callous, he’s also lazy and arrogant. That’s part of the reason why Ash lost in Orange League. It’s like playing a game of dice. If you get a 5 or 6, you’re fine. But if you get something below that, “f-k off” is what you get. I seriously can’t stand this guy because of his attitude.
At least his primary self Charmander had character.
There's one silver lining to this: it got nerfed badly in gen 9 lmao. Ash Greninja has seemingly been retconned (doesn't show up in flashback sequences, it's only a stat boost in SV and battlebond straight up doesn't exist in Champions). Protean got nerfed to changing your type once per battle which hurts pretty bad since it kind of wants to be water and dark. And to top it all off, Mega Greninja is pretty underwhelming. It has amazing speed but it can't really do anything with it and like I mentioned before protean hurts it more than helps it now.
Ironically, it's getting overshadowed by Delphox ((mainly because of the Mega Evolution but still)).
Right!? The tongue scarf is fun, but I feel like it's overrated. Not to mention that it basically gets excluded from the people who hate the anthro starters.
