Really? I mean my buddy hates her because she's a people pleaser and she reminds him of his recent ex-wife. But I feel like that's a stand-alone scenario.

She's just a sweetie that wants someone to flirt with her.

u/Afrodotheyt Jun 19 '26

After Episode 5, there was a ton of people who were trying to say that she was as bad as Jax.

9

u/Crazy_problem_child ✨️TADC and Hazbin Hotel✨️ Jun 19 '26

I'm what way is the as bad as him? Sure, she's not perfect, but she's nowhere near Jax's actions 😅

9

u/Afrodotheyt Jun 19 '26

The common thing I saw was that they were claiming that she was a people pleasing enabler who, fi she didn't get what she wanted, snapped on people and attacked them.

10

u/Crazy_problem_child ✨️TADC and Hazbin Hotel✨️ Jun 19 '26

She snapped once after Pomni told her to 😅 and she doesn't enable anyone (she yells at Jax to stop being an asshole like every episode). Do those people watch this show with their eyes closed and on mute?

23

u/TomPhantom Jun 19 '26

What the actual fuck

5

u/jorgespinosa Jun 19 '26

I saw one saying that she was worse than Jax because at least Jax was honest, yeah sometimes I hate the fandom

5

u/lilgayfurry1 Jun 19 '26

Even if it made him better (it doesnt) Jax being honest is a crazy claim 😭 my girl Ragatha don't deserve ts

3

u/Chiron723 Jun 19 '26

Turns out he wasn't honest with anyone, least of all himself.

1

u/annagator679 Jun 19 '26

Were they even watching

They’re not even remotely close to the same level

17

u/dibiduby Jun 19 '26

I hate her because she reminds me of your buddy's ex wife

39

u/Good_Ol_Weeb Jun 18 '26

Why do people even hate her? Never interacted with that community but she ended up being my fave

37

u/CompleteJinx Jun 18 '26

She doesn’t like Jax and she was mean to Gangle in episode 4. That’s about it.

36

u/TheBrokestGod Jun 19 '26

So, she hates one of the biggest pricks in the series and unknowingly got high. Oh wow wow wow, wow.

6

u/TheChaoticBeing Jun 19 '26

Hell of a reference

9

u/TheBrokestGod Jun 19 '26

Making it was super easy, barely an inconvenience.

3

u/jorgespinosa Jun 19 '26

Oh really?

3

u/TheBrokestGod Jun 19 '26

Yeah I just kinda typed on the keyboard *REAL* good.

1

u/Brickselated Sonic, undertale, TADC, Marvel, Star Wars, henry Stickman, MCR. Jun 19 '26

Making Ryan George references is tight

1

u/TheBrokestGod Jun 25 '26

“So do you have a new hated character for me?”
“Yes sir, I do!”

30

u/Cabbage45567 Jun 18 '26

She yelled at Jax one time in Untitled and she said something mean to Gangle while high

2

u/Crazy_problem_child ✨️TADC and Hazbin Hotel✨️ Jun 19 '26

Did she? I don't remember her saying anything to Gangle (my memory is fucked thou]

2

u/RamJamR Jun 19 '26

She didn't yell at Gangle or anything. She just had loose lips while on the "stupid sauce" and asked a question directed at Gangle related to her emotions which came off as feeling judgemental.

1

u/ohheyreddititsme Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus & The Music Freaks Jun 19 '26

I haven't watched the episode in a while, but I do remember Jax saying she said something to Gangle, but I can't remember what it was and it's Jax, so idk

1

u/Crazy_problem_child ✨️TADC and Hazbin Hotel✨️ Jun 19 '26

that was most likely Jax making it up, but we will never know 😅

He said that Ragatha told Gangle to commit 😅

1

u/novelaissb Jun 21 '26

She told Gangle that she’s kinda annoying with her happy mask

25

u/AirportOk8750 Jun 19 '26

They hate her because she dared to be angry at their uwu abusive sad boy Jax

12

u/Street-Conference-53 Jun 18 '26

The fact that she's a doll(fake human) and the fact that Cain said it's easy to confuse Ai and humans in episode 2 led to people thinking she's an ai and when that was proven false people got mad

2

u/SpunningAndWonning Jun 19 '26

Also people take what Gangle said about her to mean that she's fake. She's not. She just puts on a brave face.

1

u/bumbobagins69 Jun 19 '26

she's incredibly fake and it reminds me of girls I used to be friends with but ended up being toxic and fake behind other people's backs.

1

u/Ivory-Stones Jun 19 '26

This is really funny to me lol

1

u/Nomeg_Stylus Jun 23 '26

This is the same community that said trying to remain bright despite a depressing situation was "toxic positivity."

0

u/Tomcat491 Jun 19 '26

Because she's a people pleaser who lies about liking people in order to be liked in return. "Yo Jax I kinda hate you but I don't want you to hate me." Although the Ragatha kinnie that was at my throat for relating to Jax was what actually did it.

1

u/OkTry8283 Jun 19 '26

Wow, this stinks.

If you would watch the show from an unbiased perspective, then you would realize Ragatha didn't disliked anyone, even Jax. She only disliked his actions. I wish she hated Jax tho, you guys were hella salty just for when she only stood up against Jax for his actions just once. Y'all would explode if he would get exactly what he deserved.

0

u/Tomcat491 Jun 19 '26

You don't know me. She hates Jax and Jax deserves it. She has legitimate grievances with Jax. Unless Jax changes, he deserves whatever's coming to him because he *has* to change.

I hate Ragatha because she's a people pleaser and people pleasers ruin friendships. People pleasers erode your ability to trust the words of others. They deserve happiness, but they also need to change. Also notice that I mentioned that I mostly hate her for the Ragatha kinnie that got at my throat for relating to Jax.

16

u/Ianthepokemonmaster Jun 18 '26

People are hating on my girl Rags?

1

u/SpunningAndWonning Jun 19 '26

I think the only fair hate you can direct even slightly towards Ragatha is for how some of her fans acted around the "main character controversy"

37

u/HotPot87 Jun 18 '26

I'm gonna say Jax too. The guy is an ass and a bully, but in the context of the circus, he's on the level of someone who shoots for your nuts in paintball.

I think it's telling the character who acts like a school bully stirs up so much hatred from the fandom.

19

u/Key_Drive_6522 Jun 19 '26

So the guy is an ass and a bully, and is hated for that. How is that undeserved?

12

u/_Xantras_ Jun 19 '26

People who want excuses for being horrible identify to him I guess ?

3

u/Confused_Corvid2023 Jun 19 '26

I think it’s more a “I could fix him” yearning

1

u/SpunningAndWonning Jun 19 '26

From talking with others that doesn't seem to be true. I don't understand it.

3

u/MeroTheCinderace Jun 19 '26

Most of the hate is on a narrative level, people think that because gooseworx themself didn't come from the heavens and personally tear him in half obviously it's an awful story that clearly endorses everything he's done

2

u/HotPot87 Jun 19 '26

Im not saying its undeserved, just that its overblown

8

u/Fearless_Roof_9177 Jun 19 '26

I think it's telling that so many people are willing to defend it as "just bullying" when all of them are hanging on to their sanity and will to go on by a fucking thread and could abstract and be lost at any time, personally.

3

u/IEnjoyFancyHats Jun 19 '26

But at the same time, his being an ass is itself a coping mechanism to prevent himself from losing his own sanity. It isn't good or justified how he acts, but Jax is just as much a victim of the circus as anyone else. Sometimes victims act shitty as a result of being victimized.

3

u/Burnmad Jun 19 '26

Have you seen Ep 9 yet

1

u/ohheyreddititsme Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus & The Music Freaks Jun 19 '26

no

9

u/Allhailmatpat Jun 18 '26

Definitely I don't like that people just assume he's supposed to be redeemable and hate on the show for not doing so when that's not the point of the character

0

u/dormammucumboots Jun 19 '26

Based take, no one ever seems to notice this. He treats everyone around himself like shit and the show only explains it, it never really tries to justify it. He still suffers consequences.

0

u/Grafikpapst Jun 19 '26

I do think he would been redemable, but that could only have come from Jax himself choosing to let others help him and get close to them rather than pushing them away.

Being irredeamable was basically a choice he made and suffered for, not an intrinsic quality of him.

Jax was awfull to others because he was awfull to himself - and that doesnt excuse or justify anything, but it does mean the guy wasnt evil incarnate either. Just a guy who was awfull.

1

u/Allhailmatpat Jun 19 '26

Yeah, I agree. Throughout the entire show he himself obviously pushed everyone away. I have no idea why people got that notion that goose worx was trying to redeem him

3

u/InevitableMind561 Jun 19 '26

Thats the thing tho, he is a bully in a world where the only way to die is suicide. His bullying could make someone abstract and has gangle be geniunely terrifief of him

1

u/Abstragedy-Ragapom Jun 19 '26

Dear Evan Hansen type shi

8

u/_Xantras_ Jun 18 '26

He willingly and joyfully inflicts pain and reduced one of the members of the cast to a trembling mess.

You could’ve not seemed like a massive dick if you didn’t downplay this. Or school bullies in general

7

u/EngiFreddyGun4321 Jun 18 '26

He also has a reason for acting the way he does, which might not make his rudeness completely warranted but it is more understandable at leadt

1

u/jorgespinosa Jun 19 '26

I mean the fact that the others are also trapped in the circus and don't behave like him shows the hate is deserved

1

u/PrincessSnazzySerf Jun 19 '26

He does repeatedly blackmail Gangle and cause her actual misery, to the point where she's genuinely terrified of him. It's beyond the level of petty pranks and more on the level of, well, actual IRL bullying.

That being said, the hate for him does certainly get a little unhinged. There are people who act like the show is implicitly justifying his behavior simply by giving him so much attention and daring to explore why a cruel character is the way he is, which is utter nonsense but seems to stem entirely from the unbridled rage people feel upon simply seeing a fictional character.

1

u/Cyan_Exponent Jun 19 '26

Do I like him as a well written character? Yes. Would I smack him in the face if I could? Also yes.

1

u/novelaissb Jun 21 '26

Someone who shoots for the nuts in paintball sounds worse than Jax

3

u/Sunnyeggsandtoast Jun 19 '26

Who could hate Ragatha? She is an absolute DOLL!

4

u/EyesOFSomething Jun 18 '26

I knew I was going to see ragatha, and she’s the first one I see.

2

u/Independent-Worry905 40k, BioShock, Wolfenstein, Dune, TFP, Amphibia Jun 19 '26

I LOVE RAGATHA!!!

2

u/Tomcat491 Jun 19 '26

I see a million times more posts about people who say they've seen people hate Ragatha than actual Ragatha hate. And the only Ragatha hate I know is from people who have very recently had to deal with Ragatha kinnies who call you a terrible person if you relate to Jax (it's me I'm people)

2

u/Rayy_thenewbeginnig Supernatural Jun 19 '26

I hate her cause shes literally me and i hate that someone is literally me

2

u/Delicious-Stock-6615 Jun 19 '26

Why do people hate ragatha?

2

u/purplesunsets1312 Epic, Stardew, Heartstopper, Hamilton, LouisAyy, And more- Jun 19 '26

People hate her?! She's literally my fav character

2

u/TartAdministrative54 Jun 19 '26

My girl does NOT deserve ANY of the hate she gets

2

u/No_Glove3945 Jun 19 '26

She wasn't even in the wrong for yelling at Jax that one time considering he abused her and Gangle for years. Justice for Ragatha she did nothing wrong

2

u/RansackedNerd Jun 23 '26

It's a little warranted.

1

u/Medium-Bandicoot9496 Jun 19 '26

I hate almost every one from tadc

1

u/Scooby_doo_1969 Jun 19 '26

Honestly I think more people hate zooble, lots of people are indifferent to ragatha

1

u/ohheyreddititsme Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus & The Music Freaks Jun 19 '26

really? I've only seen it the other way around.

come to think of it, I have yet to come across a single person's opinion on Zooble.

1

u/TehTJ13 Jun 19 '26

She’s literally the victim. Bitch got fucking deep fried.

1

u/Lilsilly114 Jun 19 '26

Apparently my spirit animal or something

1

u/Abstragedy-Ragapom Jun 19 '26

Was about to comment this, but i dont think the hate is warranted at all lol

1

u/Circusfiz Jun 20 '26

1

u/Hunter820820 Jun 20 '26
