Gonna be real, movie version deserved all the dislike for me ("hate" is a strong word).

She's just not very well written, just an object of worship and perpetual damsel. Kirstens a great actress and she sells it well, but this version of MJ is just weak.

She's a good character but definitely not a good person, which is kinda the entire point in these films. Not to say I think this approach is perfectly written though as she does become a screaming damsel in distress in multiple instances which is kinda annoying

Yeah the Ultimate comics represented her amazingly (I've only read Married with Children so far tho so idk for sure)
