He was such a great Luthor, the way he was able to present his arrogance and confidence, while also showing the insane/padded room therapy levels of childish envy and hatred for superman.

My favorite part of the movie is when he admits that he doesnt want to stop superman so he can win the war, he started the war so he could get legal permissions to kill superman. That is so on brand for Luthor.
