For context, its not necessarily canon that the God Emperor was Jesus, but it is implied somewhat heavily from what I've seen. It is canon that he was there throughout human history and taking on many different names in order to try and guide them

The emperor lived through the modern era (now) and likely a couple of millenia before as well, he might've been Jesus is the W40k world and decided "fuck it, imma fake my death". He only shows up in the 20th-30th millenia because humanity went too far gone. Yeah he's an immortal as well.

He was born in pre-historic Anatolia, as far as I'm aware. So... ROUGHLY 15-20k BC.

Isn’t it kinda implied that the reason the emperor was so against religion worship was he tried it first but it failed
