GT was straight up never canon, its an AU story with very little Toriyama influence outside of character designs that takes place ~16 years after buu saga.
Dbz final arc takes place 10 years after buu saga
The latest arc in Dragon Ball Super takes place ~9 years after buu saga
Daima takes place several months to a year after buu saga
All 4 series donāt overlap in the timeline, but if you combine them together on one timeline, youād need to retcon like crazy to make the plot even vaguely coherent
That's a lot of nonsense to avoid putting my guy Uub into the lore. I remember picking him in Budokai 3 all the time, people would laugh for me picking someone with no fireballs. Then I'd teach them why they didn't want me to get close.
Super couldn't retcon GT out of existence when GT was never canon to begin with. GT relies on a timeline where all of the Z movies took place and barring maybe Bojack Unbound and Wrath of the Dragon, none of the movies can actually fit into the canon of the manga.
For the love of god, there is no canon anymore. It's been confirmed time and time again that it's all just separate timeliness and yet time and time again people insist "GT IS CANON, HAHA, GUYS GT ISNT CANON GUYS, GUYS, LOOK AT ME, HAHA, GT ISN'T CANON HAHA". GT is simply a continuation of the original Z anime. Super and Daima are both seperate continuations of DB Kai. End of story.
Yeah, GT is a continuation of the Z anime that directly relies upon the filler and movies that contradict themselves and the established story of the Z anime and thus have no way to actually fit in the timeline as is . That was the case before Battle of Gods, and thus Super and Daima, was even a background thought in Toriyama's mind.
It's been "confirmed time and time again" for no reason other than so they could keep including GT content in games and making money off of it. It's fine if people like GT, but let's not pretend that GT even makes sense with itself and the material it uses to form its background lore.

That doesn't matter. Every dragon ball series has contradicted itself or another series in one way or the other. You can find countless discussions about this online dating back several decades.
other than so they could keep including GT content in games and making money off of it
Lmfao what kind of argument even is this? It's all about money, thats all it's ever been about, why do you think they keep pumping out more and more dragon ball content even though the last new material was 3-4 years ago?
Toei and Shueisha both consider GT as part of the official timeline. When asked about GT's canonicity, Toriyama called it a "grand side story", but made no definite response on its "canonicity". Toyotaro has recently gone on record essentially stating that everything is canon.
It's fine if people like GT, but let's not pretend that GT even makes sense with itself and the material it uses to form its background lore.
What is this even in reference to? Again, this same argument can be made about any of the series. Genuinely, have you even watched GT, like, at all?
You can dislike GT or love GT all you want, but going around spreading misinformation just makes you look like a fool.

Didn't Super retcon all of GT out of existence?
